Miguel Showcases His Style for VEVO

Miguel is not only known for his progressive music, but also his cutting-edge style. The “Adorn” crooner takes VEVO to his favorite L.A. store, Opening Ceremony, for their “Stylized” series. He introduces us to his “style partner” Jasmine Benjamin and picks out some designer threads to try on.
“Style is just another word for personality,” says Miguel as he tries on an MVIO jacket. “When it comes to aesthetics, I think it’s all an extension of what you believe in and what you stand for and your lifestyle.”
He shares his love for vintage sunglasses and hats, which he only wears when he doesn’t feel like doing his hair.
When he finds something he likes, he’ll use words such as “kill city,” “killer,” “murky,” and “Murk McGirk.”
Rad times, indeed.

In his new webisode series with VEVO, Kendrick Lamar opens the doors and invites us to Centennial High School and reflects on his early days in Compton. In this video he says Section .80 was a direct result of the things that happened at his high school.
He also talks about his fear of summer school because that was right around the time the height of the gang violence would take place in his youth. Also, go figure, the lyrical wordsmith’s favorite subject in school was English. You don’t say, Kendrick; you don’t say. Rita Ora Shines at VEVO LIFT Showcase

After wrapping her dates on Coldplay’s European tour, Rita Ora returned to the Big Apple to perform for the VEVO LIFT showcase on Tuesday night. Donning a glittery gold blazer and skirt with a “Party and Bullshit” T-shirt, Roc Nation’s blonde babe lit up Gramercy Theatre with her hit singles “R.I.P.” and “How We Do (Party),” as well as new material off her upcoming debut, due this fall.
The busy Brit didn’t stick around for long though, jetting out of NYC with a new backpack courtesy of her pal Kanye West.

There is no denying that Justin Bieber’s fanbase, aka ‘Beliebers,’ is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to support in the digital sphere. This has just been proven by the fact that his new Little X-directed video, “Boyfriend,” has been viewed over 5 million times in less than 24 hours. The record was previously held by Nicki Minaj in January with 4.8 million pageviews and Rihanna with “Where Have You Been” 4.9 million hits. Congratulations.

Rita Ora is quickly becoming known not only for her music, but her fashion as well. The stylish singer showcases her bold style and describes her look for VEVO LIFT U.K.’s “Stylized” series.
“I like colors, I love fabrics, and I love mixing high with something no one would really expect,” said the “R.I.P.” singer. “I’m a very big fan of high-fashion clothes, but I am from the streets so I have an influence of that.”
Her day-to-day stylist Kyle Devolle added, “If Gwen Stefani and ‘Where’s Wally?’ had a love child, but ‘Where’s Wally?’ died and Mr. T was the stepfather, that would be Rita.”

Rita Ora Performs Acoustic Set for VEVO

Rita Ora stripped down for VEVO. As part of its LIFT campaign in the U.K., the Roc Nation singer performed an acoustic set including her Drake-penned single “R.I.P.” and new track “Roc the Life.”
“I’m always nervous to do an acoustic version of my song, and it does sound different,” said the 21-year-old Albanian. “It all works out, but it takes us a few rehearsals.”
She called “Roc the Life” one of her favorite tracks off her upcoming debut. “It’s about just taking control of your own life and rocking the hell out of it,” explained Rita, who performs the song during her live shows.
