Though the Under Armour ClutchFit Drive debuted on NBA courts at the end of last season, tomorrow, Tuesday, August 19th, will mark the first time that UA’s newest technology will be available to the public. First seen on Cam Newton’s Under Armour signature football cleats, the ClutchFit Drive technology will be incorporated on a basketball shoe. Debuting in USA “Home” and “Away” Stephen Curry PE colorways, the ClutchFit Drive features an upper that acts as a second skin to better support your on-court movements and provide greater flexibility in a high top by molding to your foot. The Drive sits on top of a full Under Armour Micro G cushioned midsole and includes an external heel counter for reinforced stability.
The Stephen Curry USA ‘Home’ and ‘Away’ Under Armour ClutchFit Drive PE’s arrive on Tuesday, August 19th for $ 125 each at select Foot Locker stores. Check the Launch Locator to see which stores will carry these releases.
Though we’ve seen it on court already, namely on the feet of DeMarcus Cousins at Team USA Camp, the Nike LeBron Zoom Soldier 8 “USA” will hit stores this weekend. The “USA” version of the Soldier 8 is officially a white/white-obsidian-university red release and its unmistakably patriotic. A white and obsidian mesh upper is Hyperfused together to create a flexible, breathable, durable, and – most importantly – lightweight sneaker. A university red strap, which has become a staple of the Soldier line, sits over the laces and under the blue and red LeBron branding. The obisidan midsole is interrupted by red teeth poking up from the outsole. Look for the Nike Zoom Soldier VIII “USA” on the feet of some of the Team USA’s brightest Nike-sponsored stars at the end of the month in Spain and this Saturday, August 9th at Foot Locker, House of Hoops by Foot Locker, and Footlocker.com (starting at 8am EDT) for $ 130.
The Nike Zoom Soldier 8′s stock continues to rise in the eyes of fans everywhere, since LeBron opted to rock them more often than his signature shoe in this past season’s playoff run. In this rendition, the sneaker gets a “USA” treatment which is done with mature and cool composure rather than a loud mix which sometimes happens with patriotic color schemes. Leather takes the backseat for this one, as synthetics structure the entire upper, seen most strikingly on a university red strap and Dynamic Flywire of the same shade. Obsidian outlines the model’s sharp lines, with white residing on the base and branding.
Available in stores and online Saturday.
Entering its second calendar year since its debut, the Nike Barkley Posite Max is back this Friday in a subtle but patriotic “USA” inspired colorway. This newest Nike Sportswear release sports a “White/Metallic Silver-Midnight Navy” colorway and though the only hint at this shoe’s American theme from the outside is the stars cut out of the upper, an aerial view of the release reveals a blue and white starred sock liner and a red and white striped foot bed. The Barkley Posite combines iconic elements from Barkley’s original Nike releases from the 90s with everyone’s favorite Foamposite. On this “USA” version features an entirely white upper, along with an icy blue midsole that extends into the midsole with the classic Barkley teeth and Barkley logo on the heel. Stars are draped along the upper and combined with a speckled midsole that gives the shoe some character.
The Nike Barkley Posite Max “USA” will drop on Friday, August 1 at House of Hoops by Foot Locker and Footlocker.com (starting at 8:00 a.m. EDT) for $ 235. Check the Launch Locator to see which stores will have this release.
