BREAKING: Trina’s BROTHER Wilbrent “Gonk” Bain SHOT And KILLED
Apr 24th

Wilbrent "Gonk" Bain, the brother of "Here We Go" rapper Trina was shot and killed in Miami, Florida this morning. Find out more about the shooting inside…

The brother of famed rapper Trina, Wilbrent "Gonk" Bain was shot and killed in Miami, Florida this morning. According to police reports, Gonk, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was murdered by Ron Dobson, a neighbor he’d been feuding with.
A neighbor named "Trimel" told the local NBC affiliate, 6 South Florida, "It hit me hard because I just talked to him. This killing has to stop. It has to. All of us grew up together and that’s just senseless."
Trimel suggested that easy access to weapons is an ongoing problem in the area. "It’s a gun problem more than anything because anyone can just get a gun. I guarantee if you walk around this neighborhood now I bet you you’ll get it."
Though little has been revealed about what ignited the argument between the men, it was reported that Gonk survived a 2008 shooting and had a record of gun possession, burglary, drugs, and domestic violence involving strangulation.
Police stated that Ron has confessed to the killing and is charged with second-degree murder.
So far…Trina has not spoken publically about her family’s loss.

ALTER EGO: First Look At Jamie Foxx’s “Nerdy” Side Of His Electro Role In “Amazing Spiderman 2″ + Halle Berry’s FIRST SHOT As “Storm” In “X-Men: Days Of Future Past”
Apr 23rd

Jamie Foxx‘s Amazing Spiderman 2 hair and makeup team is wrong for this. Check out Electro’s nerdy alter ego on set for the first time inside, plus Halle Berry back in her sexy black suit for the new X-Men installment…
Look, we get Electro’s alter ego is a nerdy electrical engineer and lineman. But did his tacked on thinning hair need to be all waved over looking like they couldn’t decide between finger waves and a comb over?
Oh wells. We’ve got a YBF actor in the major role of a villain this time around, so we’ll take what we can get.

Jamie Fox hopped into his alter ego’s costume instead of Electro as he hit the NYC set of Amazing Spiderman 2 recently.

In the words of Tamar Braxton, They Tried It with this hair and makeup. But anywho, here’s the story behind his character, whose alter’s name is Maxwell Dillon for you non comic buffs. According to the ever so informative (when it’s correct) Wikipedia:
While he was repairing a power line, a freak lightning accident caused a mutagenic change that transformed him into a living electrical capacitor. His powers were initially weak, so he spent some time stealing electrical equipment from Stark Industries to charge himself. During this time, he was approached by Magneto, who considered him a potential recruit for his Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, claiming that Dillon’s power rivaled his own, but Dillon refused. The following day, Dillon was confronted by a small-time thug from whom he had been borrowing money to pay for the machinery he had needed. When the thug drew a gun on him because he had not paid back the money yet, he responded by shooting a blast of lightning through the thug’s chest- the first time Dillon ever killed anybody. Soon taking the name Electro, he turned to a life of a professional criminal.
Can’t wait!

Meanwhile, the first pic has surfaced of Halle Berry gearing up to reprise her role as Storm in the upcoming X-Men: Days Of Future Past flick. Chick never ages and still looks amazing.
They are also still filming, so her baby bump will have to be hidden. The movie’s set to take over theaters in 2014.

1 Boston Marathon Bombing Suspect Shot Dead, Other At Large [PHOTOS]
Apr 19th
Boston is on lockdown. A shootout last night left one of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects dead, while the other is still at large and on the run.
CNN reports:
Two men suspected in the Boston Marathon bombing that killed three people this week terrorized the area overnight. One is dead, but the other is on the loose, police say, and he’s armed and dangerous.
Police pursued two men early Friday who shot a police officer to death, stole a vehicle and threw explosives at law officers pursuing them. Authorities believe they are the same two men sought in the marathon attacks.
One died of injuries suffered while battling police early Friday, and the other is on the run in a nearby suburb, authorities said.
Both men allegedly killed one police officer late Thursday, wounded another early Friday and used explosives against police pursuing them.
Authorities are taking steps to find and apprehend the at large suspect who is thought to be somewhere in Watertown, Mass.
According to the Huffington Post:
At daybreak, law enforcement planned to launch a house-to house search through much of Watertown as they sought one half of the duo believed to have killed three and wounded more than 170 at the Boston Marathon finish line on Monday.
A chaotic Thursday night across Cambridge and Watertown started at 10:30 p.m. with a convenience store holdup that led to the shooting of an MIT campus officer who died later from multiple gunshot wounds.
Police sped away from the campus crime scene amid reports of an armed carjacking of a Mercedes SUV nearby.
The breakneck pursuit of the stolen car led to Watertown, where suspects detonated explosives in the direction of officers before exchanging gunfire.
Check out photos of the suspect and the wild night in the gallery.

”I Think She’s Nuts Right Now!”
Ciara was again asked about her beef with Rihanna during an interview with Bay area radio station Wild 94.9. The singer claimed not to have an issue, but she definitely threw a little fuel on the fire. “I think sheâs nuts right now! Like whatever’s going on because for me it doesnât make any sense,” Ciara said. “I donât have beef with anybody, but Iâm not going to be disrespected either. I wish her well. I donât know what her problem is. She has a lot of good things going on with herself. A lot of good things Iâve always said Iâve been happy for her. I donât get it. I really donât, but I wish her well. I wish her positivity.” âHow u gon hate from the outside???” Rihanna shot back via Instagram. “Thanks for the free promeaux sis!! When will they start asking her questions about HER?â |
FIRST LOOK: “R&B Divas” Season 2 Promo Shot!
Apr 11th

We’ve got the first look at a brand new promo shot for the cast of the second season of "R&B Divas." Check out all the fab ladies inside….
Singers Angie Stone and LaTocha Scott join the Atlanta cast of the original "R&B Divas" in the upcoming second season. And the co-stars rocked a fabulous promo shoot recently, including the group shot above.
Returning cast members Syleena Johnson, KeKe Wyatt, Faith Evans, Monifah, and Nicci Gilbert stepped up their game this time around. And all the ladies look great.
As we previously reported, we’ve confirmed with an inside source that rumors of Nicci Gilbert leaving the show are indeed true. You’ll see her throughout the entire season though, as the huge fight that led to her and her husband throwing deuces to the show happened on the last day of filming.
We’ve also learned that LaTocha Scott’s baby’s father and manager, Rocky Bivens, is going to be the scrappiest of all the husbands on the show. He and LaTocha’s sister Tamika are going to have a lot to say about former Xscape members Kandi & Tiny. And it’s not pretty.
Season 2 kicks off May 1st (my birthday!) on TV One at 10/9c. Check out the trailer HERE in case you missed it.
We’ll be watching…

An aspiring Brooklyn rapper’s dreams of rap stardom have been dashed after he was shot dead in Miami last week. Kenneth Casilla, who rapped under the name NuMoney, was killed in M-I-Yayo’s Little Haiti neighborhood and his family is looking for answers as to why.
NY1 reports:

Yvette says Kenneth went to Florida to further his music career.

Investigators with the Miami-Dade Police Department said Kenneth was shot and killed last Saturday night at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Police say the shooting happened in a parking lot by an apartment complex near the intersection of 152nd Street and Sixth Avenue in the Little Haiti section of Miami.
Yvette Casilla said her son was sitting in the passenger seat of a parked car with two other people who have not been identified.
“He was in a car with somebody he knows and another guy in the back, and my son gets shot and nobody else gets shot,” she said.
So far no arrests have been made and there are no suspects.
