It’s been five years in the making, but Rick Ross and Birdman are finally ready to drop their joint album The H: The Lost Album, Volume 1. And it’ll be available for free download.
DJ Khaled will host the album, which is currently scheduled for release on May 23, and will include material that the two rappers recorded back in 2008. An official announcement came by way of a video shot by Derick G, with some words from both Rozay and Stunna. “We did so much music and we’ve just been sitting on it,” Ross explained “Stunna just hit me like, ‘Man, let’s go and feed the streets with that.” And there you have it.
Both MMG and Cash Money have plenty of releases due in the next few months, including an album from Rich Gang, Ross’ Mastermind, Wale’s The Gifted and even Khaled’s Suffering From Success. It’s primed to be a big summer for both labels.

Birdman and Rick Ross announced their plans to finally release their joint album, The H: The Lost Album, Vol. 1, and now they deliver the first offering “Pop That Pussy.” The raunchy record is from their 2008 recording sessions. The full album drops May 23.
Jay Sean wants to take you to another plant on this new sensual release, which is to featured on the crooner’s forthcoming LP. “Mars” notes the British singer-songwriter speaking directly to the ladies, showcasing his falsetto, as MMG frontman Rick Ross then adds a verse for the hip-hop heads. Again, the joint effort will be featured on Sean’s new Neon project, coming in June. Enjoy the slow jam now below.
Jay Sean takes his girl to another planet on his second single “Mars.” The Cash Money crooner shows off his vocal range, singing in a falsetto over the smooth joint, while Rozay drips in swag on his guest verse.
“I’m so high, I’m wasted I don’t wanna come down/ Let me take you to Mars, girl/ And we’ll make love on a star, girl,” he sings.
Jay’s fourth album Neon is due June 25 featuring Busta Rhymes and Ace Hood.
“The album is the best piece of work I’ve done to date, without a doubt in the last 10 years,” Jay told Rap-Up TV. “This album is a mixture of R&B, of pop, of some rock influence as well, of hip-hop influence. It’s just all of the great genres that I love and I grew up on in one. The songwriting and production on this album is superb. It really took us a long time to get it right, but I’m so proud of it.”
Did you know, or care, that back in 2008 Rick Ross and Birdman created a gang of songs that haven’t seen the light of day? The MMG and YMCMB honchos have announced that they will be dropping the first volume of said work, titled The H: The Lost Album, Vol. 1, on May 23.
DJ Khaled will serve as the album/mixtape’s host. Derick G caught up with the two rappers on the set of the “Started From The Bottom” video shoot in Miami, where they offered a few details of the album’s creation.
“This is a project me and Stunna did maybe in three days,” recalls Rozay. The Cash Money honcho then added, “We probably did 40 songs in less than 10 days.”
Call us pessimists but can we expect much quality if the music is being created at such a fast clip? We trust someone will be double checking their lyrics for any lines that will piss off any of their political connects. Also, will there be the addition of a new song to serve as a diss track going at Reebok and Mountain Dew? Probably not.

Thanks to XXL, we receive the title track from Trap House 3 just days shy of its release. Following previous leaks featuring Trinidad Jame$, Chief Keef, and 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane continues his line of collaborations here by tapping Rick Ross for a few slick bars.
Peep the cadence, as Guwop relies on a slow, whisper-like tone on his verse. Rozay mimics his Atlanta counterpart’s flow when it’s his time to shine, but adds a bit of flare with a burly growl in his vocals.
808 Mafia’s knocking drums and foreboding instrumentation dictate the hypnotic cut, making it a potential street anthem in the process.
“Trap House 3″ comes with a preview of the project’s artwork. A photo by Cam Kirk features the Brick Squad rapper toting what looks to be a chopper, while staring into deep space. We assume that living a wild life will do that to you.
Trap House 3 drops digitally via iTunes Tuesday, May 21. Stream Gucci’s new track below in the meantime.

Following Chief Keef, Trinidad James, and 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane calls on Rick Ross for “Trap House III,” the title track off his upcoming street album, available May 21 on iTunes. The Brick Squad captain, who recently pled not guilty to aggravated assault, creeps over the foreboding beat, produced by 808 Mafia, while Rozay cooks up a frightening verse. Be afraid, be very afraid.
DJ Khaled made another movie with his friends on Wednesday. The Cash Money DJ held court on set of his flashy video for “No New Friends,” the first single off his upcoming album Suffering From Success.
The YMCMB crew took over a mansion in Miami with some video vixens and briefcases full of cash, making it rain for the cameras. Twelve-time BET Awards nominee Drake rocked a throwback Dada outfit, while Rozay and Khaled popped Belaire Rosé champagne. Ace Hood and Birdman stopped by to make cameos in the Colin Tilley-directed clip.
