On Saturday, January 4, Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks will be given a special honor that only one athlete on Jordan brand before him has received. For the first time, an athlete who is not named Michael Jordan will have his signature model “retroed” by Jordan brand. The Jordan Melo 1.5 Retro “Black/University Blue” has been debuted on court numerous times by Melo so far but the public will be able to get their very own pair this Saturday. The release marks the 10 year anniversary of the shoe’s original release, in it’s original Denver Nuggets inspired colorway where Carmelo played for the first 7.5 years of his career. The Melo 1.5 features a black nubuck upper with university blue smooth leather overlays on the toe and heel. These kicks were also featured in our commercial with Melo celebrating the 23 Days of Flight Campaign, which you can view below.
The Jordan Melo Retro 1.5 Black/University Blue will drop on Saturday, January 4 at Foot Locker, House of Hoops by Foot Locker, and online at Footlocker.com (starting at 8:00 a.m. EST) for $ 120. Check the Launch Locator to see which stores will have this release.
In partnership with mall management, SELECT Foot Locker and House of Hoops by Foot Locker stores will implement a sweepstakes ticket procedure* in order to purchase the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Bred” (on sale 12/28/13 for $ 140). The sweepstakes ticket will be given out on Friday, December 27th. If your ticket number is selected, you will be notified by phone on Saturday, December 28th. These procedures are for SELECT STORES only. To find out which store near you will carry the shoe and if that store will implement the sweepstakes ticket procedure, please visit the Foot Locker Launch Locator. This release will also be available on Footlocker.com starting at 8:00 a.m. EST on Saturday, December 28th. Kids sizes will NOT be available.

Following the success of the Air Jordan 11 Retro “Gamma Blue” colorway, the Air Jordan 12 Retro “Gamma Blue” is next to receive the look. Originally inspired by the blending of dress boots with the Japanese Rising Sun flag, this design now features a black nubuck and leather upper with a Gamma Blue midsole with a subtle hit of Gym Red on the Jumpman logo featured on the tongue.
