Surrounded by ladies and his friend Trey Songz (who he brought out to perform with Cassie), the Brooklyn MC told us what to expect from his upcoming album Loso’s Way 2: Rise to Power.
“Just a little bit of growth. I’ma give you what I do and some collaborations here and there, but definitely some evolution as an artist, as a man, as a father, as a friend,” he said of the sequel to 2009’s Loso’s Way. “Just talking about some real shit and still doing what I do, giving you some witty lines, giving you some catchy stuff for the ladies. Previously due June 18, Loso’s Way 2 will now arrive in late July (either the 23rd or 30th). “We actually pushed back a little bit. We needed to handle some technicalities.”
Twelve years after releasing his debut, Fab feels confident about his status in the game. “I’m cool, I’m blessed, and God has blessed me to be here,” he said. “This is a young man’s game, so it’s a blessing just to be here still now.”
He plans to do some acting, but music remains his focus. “I definitely want to get more present in the game.”

Cee-Lo Announces A Release Date For Goodie Mob Album [VIDEO]
May 20th
Fans were elated after receiving news of Goodie Mob’s plans to create another album. But that was last year, and since then, there’s been little indication that Age Against the Machine would release anytime soon. That changed last night, when Cee-Lo Green refueled expectations for the project by announcing an official release date at the Billboard Music Awards.
The Goodie Mob LP is actually a small portion of what the Atlanta native is working on musically. Green spoke on the likelihood that he would return to judge The Voice, before revealing that Age Against the Machine ”will be out later in the year. I think August 27.”
On top of that, he plans to release a new solo album, a Gnarls Barkley project, and to go on a tour that connects all three brands. He also has a collaboration with Janelle Monáe on her new album The Electric Lady, due out this fall.
Believing is seeing, so we understand if you reserve your excitement. Besides, tons of artists have reached Detox status. Let’s hope that Goodie Mob won’t fall under that category.
Hear Green speak in the interview below.

J. Cole Moves Up ‘Born Sinner’ Release Date, Drops Official Cover Art
May 20th

By Maurice Bobb
J. Cole ended all speculation about pushing up the June 25 release date to June 18 for his sophomore LP, Born Sinner, Monday (May 20) morning via Twitter and Instagram. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jay-Z’s protégé moved up the release of his second studio album and will be coming out on the same day as Kanye West, who also will be releasing his new set, Yeezus, on June 18.
“Kanye West is one of the greatest artists of our generation,” Cole tweeted. “Which is exactly why I’m moving my release date up. Born Sinner June 18th.”
“J. has been working nonstop to put out his album a week earlier –living in the studio, bringing in full orchestras and a choir,” an unnamed source told THR.
Along with the new release date, the Roc Nation spitter released the album’s official artwork, which is an artistic rendering of a devil-horned child draped in a shiny black coating. Hovering above the young “sinner” is a golden crown, likely meant to symbolize that Cole, whose debut album, Cole World: The Sideline Story, was certified double-platinum in 2012 by the RIAA, is coming for that hip-hop crown.
It’s said that heavy is the head that wears the crown, but with the creative genius of his first single, “Power Trip,” featuring Miguel, already circulating to widespread critical acclaim, it won’t be long before this competitive spitter makes good on his promise to make this season a “Cole Summer.”
Kendrick Lamar Inspired By Kanye West’s Release For “New Slaves”
May 20th

If you still haven’t heard what Kanye West did over the weekend, then we’re just going to chalk it up that you’ve been asleep for the last couple of days. On Friday night/early Saturday morning, Ye released a new visual for “New Slaves,” from his forthcoming and tentatively titled album, Yeezus. And while any drop-off from Kanye is always a big affair, this one was slightly different. The G.O.O.D. Music head honcho decided to project the aesthetic on 66 buildings across the world. This of course had people lining up in the streets of various cities throughout. Here, Sway of MTV spoke with Kendrick Lamar on the event, as expectantly, Kendrick says he is inspired by the delivery and cannot wait to hear West’s new album.
