For the final offering of #TDEFamAppreciationWeek, Kendrick Lamar shared his Young Jeezy-featuring single “Westside, Right On Time,” and now Miami-based production duo, Urban Noize, share their remix of the song. Incorporating a “Wild West” theme for the rework, the new rendition features some nicely looped horns one would naturally expect to hear during a climatic western film. Boys Noize – XTC (The Chemical Brothers Remix)

A nice audio surprise reaches us today uin the shape of The Chemical Brothers’s version of Boys Noize’s “TXC” off of Out of the Black. This rendition follows Justice’s translation of “ICH R U” from Justice, which is set to be featuredon a 12″-release, due March 18 via Boysnoize Records, which also marks the label’s 100th release.
Jay-Z & Lana Del Rey – Dirt Off Your Shoulder (BOSS) [Urban Noize Remix]

While many of you out there have been anxiously awaiting more Jay-Z and Lana Del Rey mash-up tunes from Urban Noize, your wishes have today been granted, in large part due to the news that both artists will be working on the upcoming The Great Gatsby soundtrack. The result is a combining of Hov’s “Dirt Off Your Shoulder” and Lana’s early track, “You Can Be The Boss.” Del Rey tells Jay he can be the boss, and Jay simply brushes the dirt off — how fitting? Per usual, the joining of the sounds and vocals is a masterful combination from the South Florida outfit, of which you can now enjoy via the stream below. Leave us your thoughts after listening.
Boys Noize – Ich R U (Justice Remix)

From last fall’s well-received Out of the Black project, Boys Noize’s melodic “Ich R U” is remixed by legendary French electronica production duo Justice. Maintaining much the original score’s rhythmic output and filtered vocal samples, this remix has adopted a darker, more cinematic approach. With much more coming from both camps, we’re told Boys Noize will commemorate his 100th release on March 18 with a track remixed by Chemical Brothers, so stay tuned.

With their first project release of the new year, Miami-based production tag team, Urban Noize have unleashed their brand new collection of Rihanna-inspired remixes. Appropriately titled Reb’l Fleur: The Ri-Mixes, the seven-track EP sees quality reworks of some of Rih Rih’s biggest hits throughout her career. This time around, the Floridian brothers take on The Eminem Show-cut, “Soldier.” Urban Noize retains the classic “Eminem”-sound on their version, keeping the song crazy yet empowering, thus giving us just the right appetizer for Em’s upcoming new album, due later this year. Justin Timberlake’s imminent return to the music scene has put some people in action. Case in point, Floridian production duo Urban Noize have decided to push forward the release of their rendition of JT’s timeless hit “SexyBack.” According to Urban Noize, the inspiration behind the production came from Marvin Gaye’s music. Intending to incorporating that specific sound, the producers added a neat sample that fits the original vibe of “SexyBack” perfectly. The result is a soulful, groovy remix that fuses the talents of two great artists. Enjoy!
