For the final offering of #TDEFamAppreciationWeek, Kendrick Lamar shared his Young Jeezy-featuring single “Westside, Right On Time,” and now Miami-based production duo, Urban Noize, share their remix of the song. Incorporating a “Wild West” theme for the rework, the new rendition features some nicely looped horns one would naturally expect to hear during a climatic western film. A nice audio surprise reaches us today uin the shape of The Chemical Brothers’s version of Boys Noize’s “TXC” off of Out of the Black. This rendition follows Justice’s translation of “ICH R U” from Justice, which is set to be featuredon a 12″-release, due March 18 via Boysnoize Records, which also marks the label’s 100th release.
While many of you out there have been anxiously awaiting more Jay-Z and Lana Del Rey mash-up tunes from Urban Noize, your wishes have today been granted, in large part due to the news that both artists will be working on the upcoming The Great Gatsby soundtrack. The result is a combining of Hov’s “Dirt Off Your Shoulder” and Lana’s early track, “You Can Be The Boss.” Del Rey tells Jay he can be the boss, and Jay simply brushes the dirt off — how fitting? From last fall’s well-received Out of the Black project, Boys Noize’s melodic “Ich R U” is remixed by legendary French electronica production duo Justice. Maintaining much the original score’s rhythmic output and filtered vocal samples, this remix has adopted a darker, more cinematic approach. With much more coming from both camps, we’re told Boys Noize will commemorate his 100th release on March 18 with a track remixed by Chemical Brothers, so stay tuned.

Case in point, Floridian production duo Urban Noize have decided to push forward the release of their rendition of JT’s timeless hit “SexyBack.” According to Urban Noize, the inspiration behind the production came from Marvin Gaye’s music. Intending to incorporating that specific sound, the producers added a neat sample that fits the original vibe of “SexyBack” perfectly.
