After The Whirlwind of the Nike Air Yeezy 2 Red October
Mar 1st
Taking a look back at this month, the most remarkable and unexpected release in the sneaker world was the release of the Nike Air Yeezy 2 Red October. While Kanye West consistently ranted on his stops on his Yeezus Tour about how he needed a fashion deal with a large corporation, and calling out Nike CEO Mark Parker out in the process, the shoe was a limbo about whether or not it would be released at all for the past year. When Kanye West announced that he inked a deal with adidas Y-3, the questions arose once more for the much-anticipated sneaker.
Then on February 9th, 2014, Nike’s (@Nike) Twitter account randomly announced that the sneakers were on sale. This caused a stir amongst sneakerheads globally because the shoe was sold out in a matter of 11 minutes. However, looking back at how high the anticipation was for the shoe and the magnifying glass on it — the decision to make it fair and drop it randomly was probably the smartest move at that point.
It’s no secret that the shoe is special and amongst one of the more coveted shoes in the world. And now, they’re out in the wild.

Nike LeBron 11 “Diffused Jade”
Feb 24th
There have been a slew of recent LeBron releases but we’ve got one more for you and it’s super sleek. The Nike LeBron 11 “Diffused Jade” will drop on Saturday and is named after the accent color which accounts for the majority of the color pop on the pair. Cloaked in a mostly black upper this release has diffused jade accents on Nike and LeBron branding on the toe, tongue, and inside of the sneaker, as well as the shoe’s inner lining. A frosty diffused jade outsole also gives the shoe some pop and character. Light crimson is also prominent on the shoe’s black background taking care of the lace loops, tongue accenting, and woven in on the laces.
The Nike LeBron 11 “Diffused Jade” drops on Saturday, February 22 at Foot Locker, House of Hoops by Foot Locker, and online at Footlocker.com (starting at 8:00 a.m. EST) for $ 200. It will also be available in kids grade school sizes. Check the Launch Locator to see which stores will have this release and let us know what you think of the shoe in the comments.
Nike KD VI “Home 2″
Feb 22nd
It’s inspiring to see all that Kevin Durant has accomplished by being such a good guy overall. In typical humble fashion, Kevin Durant puts his team on his back with this version of the Nike KD VI. This edition dubbed “Home 2” has a similar pattern and graphic detailing of the Nike KD VI “Away 2,” which dropped a couple months back. This sneaker is dressed in a color combo of a silver upper with accents of volt neon and light blue, which is louder and more vibrant than the previous release.

Nike Air Tech Challenge Huarache Cool Grey/University Blue
Feb 22nd
The Nike Air Tech Challenge Huarache pairs cool grey, university blue and a hint of white all together in an incredible colorway. This sneaker is a hybridized Andre Agassi retro tennis silhouette, which pairs the Air Challenge Huarache’s upper with the sole of the Air Tech Challenge III. While these bring an early 90′s aesthetic to 2014, it seems as if it will be another exciting year for Agassi Nikes.

Nike KD Lifestyle “Reflective Camo”
Feb 21st
The Nike KD Lifestyle “Reflective Camo” is a high-top sneaker adapted from the standard low-cut Nike KD VI. What makes this sneaker special is its large tiger camouflage print on the upper of the kicks along with an implementation of 3M. All of the above sits above a white sole mixed with black accents. It’s a departure from the standard version of the latest Kevin Durant shoe, but we’re digging it. What do you think?
