Lil’ Kim Talks Nicki Minaj, Azealia Banks, & Scott Storch on ‘The Breakfast Club’
May 17th

Lil’ Kim didn’t hold back when showed up for an interview with “The Breakfast Club” on Power 105.1. The Queen Bee, who is currently playing shows across the country on her “Return of the Queen” tour, had the studio buzzing about her beef with Nicki Minaj, relationship with Scott Storch (“I would have married him”), claims about Biggie’s mother Voletta Wallace (“She didn’t know him”), and latest scuffle with Azealia Banks. Watch the heated conversation below.
On Junior M.A.F.I.A.: “A majority of them is the reason why I went to prison. I’m not gonna say all of them because there was one person who basically did what they were supposed to do. But it is what it is at this point.”
On Scott Storch: “I love Scott. I would have married him. He’s a good person. I don’t even think he knew who he was talking to when I reached out to him. He has so many horrible people around him. Scott spoiled me, he treated me like a queen, but the thing is he thought he had to do all these lavish things. We were living in Coconut Grove… And as soon as we went to Miami Beach, we started arguing and fighting and everything was horrible. Scott wanted to marry me, he gave me a huge pink diamond ring and it killed me to give it back. I was like yes, but not now. He was so upset.”
On why they broke up: “I was on my way to prison and he wanted me to move to Miami officially. I didn’t see the reason I had to move out there when I had all this going on.”
On Foxy Brown: “I don’t even know her. I don’t know who she is these days. I wouldn’t even know what her voice sounds like.”
On her relationship with Biggie: “I would never get involved deeply like that with a married man. I know he loved me to death, but it’s just not a good aura.”
On Voletta Wallace: “Big’s mom doesn’t know Biggie. And she barely knows Christopher. She used to kick him out daily. She did not care to know him or get to know him. Don’t get me wrong, he loved his mother and I’m pretty sure as a mom she loved her son, but she didn’t know him.
On Nicki Minaj: “How come when I come up at these places, they wanna ask me these questions, but they don’t wanna ask her? She has a way of trying to avoid the situation and ya’ll let her do it, but it’s OK. The last time ya’ll asked her was probably when it was very fresh. [Charlamagne] was on her album so it only made sense.
“She started releasing all these records doing her vocals the way I did my vocals. I played a record for Slim called “Automatic.” It’s a St. Tropez, dance type of record. Three years ago I played him this record. On her new album, she has a song called “Automatic” and the song is so similar to the song that I played for Slim.
“Whether my fans would have liked that sound or not, it was my sound. I brought that sound to the table. The problem with her is she was very catty with it. I never had a problem with her. I was always nice with her—always. She was a very obnoxious person, but I was always nice with her.
“Every single record she’s made was coming at me. Everybody who knows music knows in that Puffy record ["Hello Good Morning"] she was coming at me. I didn’t say nothing about this chick at the time. She was coming at me in all the records she was doing, the Jay and Kanye West ["Monster"].
“I’m not saying she’s a horrible artist, but I definitely think she’s overrated. She’s not a horrible artist to me at all.”
On putting an end to their feud: “It’s not gonna happen… You will see. Everything in the dark comes to the light.”
On Azealia Banks: “I never met this girl a day in my life. I never talked to this chick, she don’t know what I sound like. I don’t know what she sound like on the phone. I think it’s in chicks’ contracts when they come out, you gotta go at Lil’ Kim.”

Lil Kim Calls Nicki Minaj ‘Catty’ Over Music Beef
May 17th
By Rob Markman
Lil’ Kim stopped by Power 105′s Breakfast Club morning show in New York City on Thursday (May 17), where the Queen Bee talked about her new work and definitely gave some detail on her beef with Nicki Minaj.
Before Kimmy Blanco began fielding Nicki Minaj questions from show hosts DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God and Angela Yee, she questioned why media outlets don’t grill Ms. Minaj like they do her. “She has a way of trying to avoid the situation, and y’all let her do it,” Kim charged before she hit on the root of their issue.
According to the Queen Bee, she was on pace to sign with Cash Money, the same label that made Nicki a star. “Me and Slim were friends for four years, and we decided that we were going to go into business together,” Kim said of her plans with CM co-CEO Ronald “Slim” Williams. “I was over there with Cash Money — I was getting ready to be partners with them.”
The deal didn’t go through, but Kim did record “Grinding Makin’ Money,” a track that included both Birdman and Minaj. The Notorious K.I.M. claims that the track was slated for Birdman’s 2009 album Priceless but didn’t make the final cut. “They put the record out. I guess they didn’t like the response — they saw the response and they pulled the record off, pulled it back, never put it on his album, nothing,” Kim said.
In the Big Momma’s mind, the single was to be beneficial to all parties. For Nicki and Cash Money, doing a song with the female rap great would help stamp a then-budding Minaj. In addition, it would put Kim back into rotation at radio, an important step in restarting her career after she was released from federal prison in 2006. But Birdman and company went cold on the track. “If that would’ve been a big video and a big event record, that would’ve been big for both of us,” Lil’ Kim reasoned. “But I personally think they didn’t want me to stand beside her, which is stupid.”
Kim went on to claim that Nicki’s new record “Automatic” is strikingly similar to an unreleased record of the same name that she recorded and played for Cash Money brass three years ago.
“On her new album, she has a song called ‘Automatic,’ and the song is so similar to the song that I played for Slim,” Kim charged. “The problem with her is she was very catty with it. I never had a problem with her — I was always, always nice with her, always. She was a very obnoxious person, but I was always nice with her.”

Lil’ Kim REVEALS Origin Of Nicki Minaj Beef, Says Nicki Is OVERRATED, CATTY And They’ll NEVER Be Friends
May 17th

Lil’ Kim stopped by The Breakfast Club this morning where she dished on the how the Nicki Minaj beef got kicked off and the venom with which she spoke showed she’s STILL very angry. She said Nicki is overrated, catty, did a lot of dirt behind the scenes and they’ll NEVER make amends. Deets inside….
Lil’ Kim stopped by The Breakfast Club this morning where she dished on the career and the MANY trials and tribulations she’s experienced as an artist. She revealed that she is still upset that Junior Mafia left her hanging during her trial with the feds and they are not cool. She also talked about her legal warfare with Trackmasters which kept her out of the recording studio for years and her beef with Nicki Minaj.
She revealed that she was VERY close to Baby and Slim of Cash Money and they were forming a few businesses together. She feels that they introduced her to Nicki Minaj just so the hip hop community would think she had endorsed Nicki and given her approval. She says things went left after a track they recorded together got shelved along with all the promises of a video and a big marketing push. After that, she said Nicki got VERY catty when they were around each other and then that’s when she started dissing her in records. Here are the highlights:
On making up with Junior Mafia:
"Why would I become cool with somebody who has no loyalty, no love and no consistency."
On Scott Storch:
He has so many bad people around him. But he’s a nice person.
On beefing with Nicki:
"Every single record she’s made was coming at me. She was coming at me in the Puffy record and in the Jay and Kayne record.
On why she & Nicki can’t work together:
"She wanted to be the only female out there. So when Baby said we not f*ckin’ with this chick cause you can’t stand next to her, she loved it! She didn’t want to stand next to me." Lil’ Kim added that in the music industry men pit women against each other and Kim said, "You have to be smart enough to say yo, I don’t know what they talking about but you my b*tch.
On what she thinks Nicki should have done differently:
"Don’t come at me indirectly in records…..don’t do that. At the end of the day, she should have just said ‘I don’t care, you my b*tch, I want to do other stuff with you’."
On Nicki as an artist:
"I’m not saying she’s a horrible artist, but she’s overrated."
On homage:
Kim said she NEVER felt like Nicki paid homage to her. "When somebody says I love you BUT I hate you…..that’s not homage."
On if she and Nicki will ever make amends:
"It will never happen."
On where the Nicki beef goes from here:
"You will see….everything done in the dark comes to the light."
On Azealia Banks dissing her on Twitter:
"Listen, I think its in chicks’ contracts that when you come out you gotta go at Lil’ Kim." She added she doesn’t know who she is and they have never spoken.
