Taking cues from the Air Jordan 2, the Air Jordan 1 ’86 arrives in its inaugural colorway of black, white and pure platinum. With the Air Jordan 1 as a base, the details include a black leather upper with safari print on its overlays, a multicolored outsole, a white outline around the Swoosh logo and contrasting white laces. A mashup of the Air Jordan 1 and 2 along with safari print makes this release a solid hybrid.

Inspired by the Air Jordan 2, the Air Jordan 1 Retro ’86 features the moniker that changed the sneaker game, the “Wings” logo, which is prominently showcased on the tongue and molded heel counter that make it instantly recognizable.

Inspired by the clutch sport moments when Jordan Brand athletes turned to black apparel and footwear to show they meant business. The signature shoe collection exemplifies this serious, time-to-shine mindset, grounded in a black upper colorway. Jordan Melo 1.5 Atomic Mango

Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Jordan Melo 1.5, the Melo 1.5 has stood the test of time with its bootie construction for an enhanced fit, molded foxing for stability, an injected Phylon midsole with Air cushioning and an environmentally preferred rubber outsole. Most often seen in the Denver Nuggets blue, it gets revamped for the vibe of spring with “Atomic Mango”. This new colorway implmements a white base on the midfoot and toe box, complimented by wolf grey overlays on the rear and toe cap. Atomic mango details the style code throughout, most notable on the “Carmelo” and Jumpman branding, as well as on the entire outsole.

Inspired by clutch sport moments when athletes turned to black apparel and footwear to show they meant business, Jordan Brand unveils this year’s playoff pack. Grounded in a black upper colorway, the signature shoe collection exemplifies this serious, time-to-shine mindset.
Using advanced technologies and premium materials, the Jordan Brand delivers its most advanced lineup of footwear as the lights shine on the brightest stage of the game. Lighter and stronger reinforcements are shown in the Super.Fly 2 PO with an injection TPU heel counter and full grain leather eyestay. The CP3.VII AE’s exposed dynamic flywire technology provides a superior lockdown fit and a no-sew construction is integrated for enhanced comfort.
Strategic color blocking is featured on each shoe in addition to reflective elements for extra shine. The playoff pack incorporates black reflective material, as a nod to the Air Jordan V heritage, and team-inspired colorways.

Jordan 6-17-23 “Infrared 23″ Release Details

Adding up to the legendary sum of 23, the Air Jordan VI and the Jordan XVII were fused together in 2011 to make the Jordan 6-17-23. This weekend the 6-17-23 will release again in the heralded “Infrared 23″ colorway that has graced numerous AJ retro releases including the VI. Though the shoes are 11 Air Jordan models apart, when seen fused together, as they are on this release, one realizes that they’re actually not too different. Sharing similar silhouettes, features of the VI and XVIII mend together seamlessly to create a completely new sneaker. Iconic features taken from the AJ VI can be found mostly on the design of the upper which combines smooth and tumbled leather, as well as the heel tab. The midsole, tongue, and lace eyes are the most prominent elements that are used from the AJ XVII. If you’re interested in copping a pair this weekend, please read our release details below.

In partnership with mall management, SELECT Foot Locker and House of Hoops by Foot Locker stores will implement a sweepstakes ticket procedure* in order to purchase the Jordan 6-17-23 “Infrared 23″ (on sale 4/5/14 for $ 145). The sweepstakes tickets will be given out Wednesday, April 2nd and Thursday, April 3rd. If your ticket number is selected, you will be notified by phone on Friday, April 4th. The Jordan 6-17-23 was mathematically inspired, as various design elements from the Air Jordan VI and the Air Jordan XVII were fused together, and whose summation equated to “23”. Returning in the heralded “Infrared” colorway, the iconic features from the Jordan VI are found on the upper (smooth and tumbled leather as well as the heel tab) while the midsole, tongue and lace eyes are the most prominent elements used from the AJ XVII.
