Beyonce Issues Handwritten Apology For First Concert Postponement Of Her Career, Returning To The Stage TONIGHT
May 15th

Beyonce Knowles cancelled the first concert of her career yesterday at the order of doctors. And she posted a hand written letter to her fans in Belgium for having to postpone that tour date. But she’s set to return to the stage tonight in the very same venue…
Due to exhaustion and dehydration, Beyonce was ordered by her docs to rest yesterday. And it caused her to postpone, for the first time in her life, her tour stop in Antwerp, Belgium.
So the "Standing In The Sun" busy Bey posted this handwritten letter for her fans as an apology:

The Mrs. Carter Show was scheduled to stop in Belgium for two nights at the Antwerp Sportpaleis. So she’s returning to the stage for tonight’s second show. Glad she got well soon!
The tour rolls to Zurich on Friday, then Milan Saturday, and France and Germany directly after that. She’ll be performing in Europe until June 1st where she ends in London. Then kicking off the US leg in L.A. June 28th.
The Randomness:
1. Kanye‘s 0,000 Lambo crashed in Kim K.‘s gate in front her home, thanks to the repair company who was driving it and was retuning it to her home. STORY
2. Nick Cannon announced via press release that he is leaving his radio show of two years to focus on his NCredible Entertainment ventures.

Naughty By Nature’s Treach Says Vin Rock Issues Are Nothing New
May 14th

By Sowmya Krishnamurthy
From “O.P.P.” to O-V-E-R, legendary hip-hop group Naughty By Nature is done. Treach and Kay Gee visited Power 105′s The Breakfast Club to share their displeasure with third member Vin Rock on Friday (May 10).
“It’s been in the making for a while. Every relationship tries to stick it through the hard times, the good times but sometimes you gotta just do your own thing,” said Treach about the falling out with Vinnie, who was not at the interview. “You know our kids is grown now, you last it out for the kids sometimes.”
Treach implied that Vinnie was not a team player, which affected the morale of the group. “When you bigger than the group, it’s unacceptable,” said Treach, without going into details. Treach also explained that Vinnie, whose rhymes Treach claimed he penned, sucker punched him once and ran away.
Despite their issues, The Naughty By Nature frontman said that he would fulfill outstanding tour dates regardless of the issues. Kay Gee attempted to be diplomatic, saying that he was not going to take sides between his brothers. “I’m not taking no sides, but I don’t have no problem with Treach…You can’t tell me to go against Treach,” he said.
Treach previously took to Twitter to put his former friend on blast. “Vinnie from NAUGHTY BY NATURE is Officially FIRED!! Anything he does besides shows til Sept is Frugazy!! F— him & the Ground he Walks!!”
The New Jersey trio’s last studio album, Anthem Inc., was released in 2011. Naughty By Nature took off in the 1990s with hits like “O.P.P.” and “Hip Hop Hooray.”

Lil Wayne Issues Apology to Emmett Till Family For “Karate Chop” Lyric
May 1st

First Rick Ross and his controversial “rape” lyric on Rocko’s “U.O.E.N.O.,” and now Lil Wayne is dealing with a similar issue due to a line that he used on “Karate Chop.” In reference to the 1955 incident where African-American Emmett Till “flirted” with a white woman and was thus beaten to death, Weezy penned, ““beat the pu**y up like Emmett Till.” The family of Till caught wind of the questionable line and demanded Weezy be dropped by his Mountain Dew sponsors. The Young Money rapper his since gone on to issue this apology to the family:
Dear Till Family:
As a recording artist, I have always been interested in word play. My lyrics often reference people, places and events in my music, as well as the music that I create for or alongside other artists.
It has come to my attention that lyrics from my contribution to a fellow artist’s song has deeply offended your family. As a father myself, I cannot imagine the pain that your family has had to endure. I would like to take a moment to acknowledge your hurt, as well as the letter you sent to me via your attorneys.
Moving forward, I will not use or reference Emmett Till or the Till family in my music, especially in an inappropriate manner. I fully support Epic Record’s decision to take down the unauthorized version of the song and to not include the reference in the version that went to retail. I will not be performing the lyrics that contain that reference live and have removed them from my catalogue.
I have tremendous respect for those who paved the way for the liberty and opportunities that African-Americans currently enjoy. As a business owner who employs several African-American employees and gives philanthropically to organizations that help youth to pursue their dreams my ultimate intention is to uplift rather than degrade our community.
Best,
Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr.

Chris Broussard Issues Statement, Says Jason Collins “Displayed Bravery”
Apr 30th
Chris Broussard found himself in a whirlwind of controversy thanks to his comments on ESPN’s Outside The Lines yesterday (April 29) afternoon. The veteran sportswriter and TV analyst was candid about his religious views and how they pertain to Jason Collins coming out of the closet. In a statement released via Twitter he stands by his words while asserting that he doesn’t object to gays playing in the NBA.
On Outside The Line, Broussard said, “If you’re openly living in unrepentant sin, whatever it may be, not just homos-xuality, adultery, fornication…whatever it maybe, I believe that’s walking in open rebellion to God and to Jesus Christ. So I would not characterize that person as a Christian because I don’t think the bible would characterize them as a Christian.”
Via Twitter, Broussard clarified his comments. ”Today on OTL, as part of a larger, wide-ranging discussion on today’s news, I offered my personal opinion as it relates to Christianity, a point of view that I have expressed publicly before,” he tweeted. Saying that he respected those who disagree with him he added, “As has been the case in the past, my beliefs have not and will not impact my ability to report on the NBA. I believe Jason Collins displayed bravery with his announcement today and I have no objection to him or anyone else playing in the NBA.”
ESPN’s also released a statement, sort of distancing itself from its analyst’s viewpoints.
We regret that a respectful discussion of personal viewpoints became a distraction from today’s news. ESPN is fully committed to diversity and welcomes Jason Collins’ announcement.
Despite Broussard’s trepidations—which is what many assumed was the case off his initial commentary—Collins’ NBA peers have been very supportive, with numerous players publicly sharing their support via Twitter messages.
However, Antawn Jamison told TMZ that although players are talking a good game, there will still be those unwilling to accept Collins’ s-xuality.
It’s probably not a coincidence that Broussard dropped his message just after midnight with the day’s new cycle over. Let us know what you think of Broussard’s opinion in the comments. Read the full statement on the next page.

NFL Agents Are Required To Have Postgraduate Degree
Jay-Z is moving ahead full throttle with his latest Roc Nation Sports endeavor. The hip hop mogul applied last week for certification to become a Major League Baseball agent, and is in talks to sell his ownership share of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets. But it looks like the businessman will have a difficult time if he wants to work with the NFL. Jay reportedly wants NFLPA (National Football League Players Association) certification, but he must first successfully pass the NFLPAâs admission test. He is also required to have a postgraduate degree. Nothing has been publicized regarding Jay-Z and the aforementioned stipulations. He is currently working with Victor Cruz of the New York Giants. |

”It’s Wrong and I Do Not Encourage It”
Rick Ross released an “official” apology today (April 12th.) A day after being released from his endorsement deal with Reebok in the wake of the backlash that surfaced regarding his lyrics on Rocko’s “U.O.E.N.O.,” Ross said in a official statement that he takes responsibility for his mistake. “Before I am an artist, I am a father, a son, and a brother to some of the most cherished women in the world. So for me to suggest in any way that harm and violation be brought to a woman is one of my biggest mistakes and regrets. As an artist, one of the most liberating things is being able to paint pictures with my words. But with that comes a great responsibility. And most recently, my choice of words was not only offensive, it does not reflect my true heart. And for this, I apologize. To every woman that has felt the sting of abuse, I apologize. I recognize that as an artist I have a voice and with that, the power of influence. To the young men who listen to my music, please know that using a substance to rob a woman of her right to make a choice is not only a crime, it’s wrong and I do not encourage it. To my fans, I also apologize if I have disappointed you. I can only hope that this sparks a healthy dialogue and that I can contribute to it.” |
