The Summer 2014 Nike N7 collection celebrates the perseverance of N7 ambassadors and athletes everywhere, combining the strength and beauty represented in nature with insights and storytelling that reflect Native American and Aboriginal culture.
The designs incorporate elements from the great outdoors—mountain, sky and flora—-with the triangles of the N7 mark, which is comprised of three arrows pointing back to signify past generations, three arrows pointing forward to signify future generations, and an arrow in the center to represent the current generation. The natural elements are juxtaposed with the geometric shapes of the N7 mark to convey both movement and balance. All of the designs are reflected on a modern black and white background with turquoise, a color symbolic of friendship in Native cultures.
Check out some of the footwear and apparel available in the both men’s and women’s starting Saturday, May 17th at select Foot Locker stores and Footlocker.com.

To pay tribute to the unique flavor of New Orleans, Nike Basketball has developed the Nike NOLA Gumbo League Collection which includes three shoes from three stars: LeBron James (Nike LeBron 11), Kobe Bryant (Kobe 9 Elite) and Kevin Durant (KD VI). Inspired by the flavors and stories of the Big Easy, Nike cooked up a bold mix of technical innovation, aesthetic flair and old-fashioned New Orleans traditions with these sneakers.
The LeBron 11 Gator King is inspired by the fearsome alligator — representing royalty and power in New Orleans culture. The graphic textures throughout the shoe which resemble the animal’s protective nature. The majestic color in deep purples, greens and gold are derived from the “Rex” — king of carnival celebrations.
The Kobe 9 Elite Maestro is reminiscent of Jazz and the incredible jazz musicians who have been influenced by/in New Orleans. Kobe’s game on the court is similar in nature with his free-flowing and improvisational prowess. The sneaker uses accents of brass in the upper, while a glow-in-the-dark outsole pops at night.
Last but not least, the KD VI Illusion is representative of defying perception: as a near-seven footer with the ability to score at will, the sneaker celebrates KD’s versatility and fluidity on the court. A glow-in-the-dark outsole also represents the “spark” of KD’s game.
The Nike NOLA Gumbo League Collection is available in stores and online Friday. Check out Release Locator for stores.
A new collection of three sneakers from Nike Sportswear is set to be released this Thursday, February 13th, celebrating the 2014 hardwood showdown in NOLA. The collection takes inspiration from the various aspects of New Orleans that make the city unique.
After returning from an out of this world trip to Houston’s Area 72 facility in 2013, Nike Sportswear heads to New Orleans. Shifting focus from the extraterrestrial inspiration of last years Area 72 collection back toward earth, the Big Easy’s festive and diverse atmosphere serves up a platter of footwear your senses won’t soon forget.
As the NOLA Gumbo League Collection pays homage to what happens on the hardwood, the Nike Sportswear Crescent City Collection lionizes the characteristics that make New Orleans different from anyplace else: the food, culture and distinctive wildlife. These three qualities take center stage on Nike’s Flystepper 2K3, Air Up ’14, and Air Force 1 Low CMFT — designs as unique as the city that inspired them.
See below for more info and images and check the Launch Locator to see which stores will have these releases.
Air Up ‘14 – $ 140
Crawfish are a NOLA staple and any New Orleanian will tell you they are best when boiled. A crave-worthy take on the Nike Air Up mimics fresh-out-of-the-pot crawdads. These sneakers get the job done with no seasoning required, featuring a crustacean-red upper complete with water droplets and a steamy graphic.
Air Force 1 Low CMFT – $ 160
As the best of the best come together in the Big Easy, the Nike Air Force 1 pays tribute in kind. Like gumbo, the latest Air Force 1 is a collage of the most memorable Nike Sportswear upper materials — such as foamposite and cork — and prints including elephant, gator, pony hair, and safari.
Flystepper 2K3 – $ 110
In New Orleans, alligators are king of the bayou. In remembrance of another king’s first pair of Nike’s, Nike Sportswear combines the elevated silhouette of the Flystepper and adds the signature perforated quarter panels of the Zoom 2K3. Featuring faux-alligator strap enclosures, the real tribute to the tough skin of Alligator Mississippiensis takes the form of a raised synthetic covering the toe.
The Nike Crescent City Collection is a trio of sneakers that pays homage to the unique characteristics of New Orleans. This collection is for off-court purposes, which counterbalances the NOLA Gumbo Collection. The sneakers included in the Crescent City Collection are the classic Air Up, the Air Force 1 CMFT and the brand new Flystepper 2k3.
The Air Up ’13 represents the city’s beloved boiled crawfish with a crustacean-red upper and droplets of water. The Air Force 1 CMFT is a gumbo of popular NSW uppers: Foamposite, cork materials, elephant, gator, pony hair and safari print. Last but not least, the new Flystepper 2K3 is a casual high-top. The sneaker arrives with perforated quarter panels of the Zoom Flight 2K3. To top it off: add in faux-alligator strap enclosures and a raised synthetic covering the toe.
