Nike Basketball’s signature athletes Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant and LeBron James are celebrating Christmas by releasing festive kicks to tell their individual stories. The Kobe 9 highlights its knitted aesthetic with a red and white Flyknit upper, taking inspiration from a knit stocking. Leather textures on the tongue and overlays give the shoe a premium feel, while its marbled outsole resembles candy canes. The KD7 pays tribute to his favorite holiday beverage, eggnog. A red Hyperposite heel integrates glossy flecks emulating the condensation on a glass of eggnog. Last but not least, the LeBron 12 combines the shoe’s photorealistic camouflage upper on the Hyperposite shell. The camo pattern is inspired by Akron, Ohio’s winter weather and includes a birch tree pattern. Black and Hyperpunch micro dots integrate into the camo pattern for a seasonal touch.

As the presenting sponsor of Power 106’s Cali Christmas concert for the second year in a row, Footaction made sure that we were there to capture everything in style. With a performance line-up including some of the biggest hip-hop acts like Big Sean, J. Cole, T.I., G-Eazy, Tinashe, Lil’ Jon, Chris Brown, Jeremih and Kid Ink, guest appearances were also made by Ty Dolla Sign, French Montana, Tyga and E-40 during the partyful night.
However, it didn’t stop at throwing the West Coast’s biggest hip-hop concert. Footaction invited select top-tier influencers and media from across the nation to get an inside look at how style played a role in the event. We provided an inside look at the latest fashion trends during a personalized styling session, gave the influencers VIP treatment at the concert, in addition to hosting a private dinner for three buzzing artists: G-Eazy, Casey Veggies and Hit-Boy.
Cali Christmas also served as the backdrop for the third and final installment of our Style Means series. This time around, we highlighted G-Eazy who is an up-and-coming rapper and is known for his clean and classic style earning him the title “the James Dean of Hip-Hop.”
While the concert continued to bring the energy all night, backstage had its own type of energy. Our team was stationed in the media room with Power 106’s Mando Fresko who interviewed several acts and celebrities who stopped through to the event, while asking questions about their style and of course what they wanted for Christmas.
Check out the recap video and pictures from the event up above.

To highlight Footaction’s essentials for September, we put together a handful of looks for you to gain inspiration. In the lookbook above, we had a very special guest: producer and rapper Hit-Boy from G.O.O.D. Music showing off what he would rock this month. The fall brings a new sense of energy; the colors of the leaves are changing which provide a different backdrop for the months ahead. The cooler air means you can begin to layer various pieces—but proceed with caution—because you don’t want to be too reckless when it comes to patterns and colors.
A notable staple piece like a Levi’s denim jacket can be worn over a Civil Clothing graphic/white tee to keep things clean and classic. If you’re looking to make more of a statement, try on our all-over print long-sleeve tees from Hudson or tie them up at the waist for layering like a pro. After it’s all said and done, let everyone know that you’re the flyest by capping off your outfit with fresh new kicks from Supra, Jordan Brand and Nike. Take some risks this month by trying out new ways of layering or keep it consistent with your personal style. Whatever you decide, make sure to own it.
