Man Wants Money For Clothing Store Fight
A$AP Rocky is defending himself against allegations that he assaulted a man in a Manhattan boutique last year. The rapper denies that he owes any money to Shenick Alcine who is suing Rocky for allegedly attacking him. The man claims Rocky came after him after Alcine spotted the Rocky doing drugs in the store. According to TMZ, however, Rocky says that Alcine attacked him. |
The Harlem-born rapper says that any punches that were thrown at Alcine were done so in self-defense. He’s asking a judge throw the suit out of court.

”I Should Have Been On It Last Year”
Top Dawg rapper ScHoolboy Q shared his thoughts on being named one of XXL magazine’s 2013 “Freshman.” The West Coast rhymer said that he felt that it was a little late, despite the honor of being celebrated. âYeah, I should have been on it last year and the year before that. Iâm on there. Itâs cool,â Q told Sway. He also talked about his upcoming album. âItâs honestly really done. Iâm just putting pieces together,â said ScHoolboy Q. âMaking sure it sounds right. You know what Iâm saying? But when I say âdoneâ that doesnât mean that another song canât knock another song off. So Iâm evaluating the album now. Iâm just sitting back. Iâm not doing too much recording right now unless itâs the record record.â |
D’Angelo and ?uestlove’s Bonnaroo 2012 Set (Documentary 1/4)

You might remember D’Angelo’s first live appearance in the U.S. in 12 years at Bonnaroo last summer. His comeback is now the focus of a four-part behind-the-scenes documentary directed by Danny Clinch. The documentary includes behind-the-scenes impressions, performance footage as well as some great input by ?uestlove. Have a look at the first 15 minutes of the documentary are now up for your streaming pleasure (above) and features “My Summertime Thang” by the Time and written by Prince. Also make sure to check D’Angelo and ?uestlove’s performance at the Brooklyn Bowl last week.
The Making Of Questlove & D’Angelo’s SuperJam At Bonnaroo 2012 [VIDEO]

Behind the scenes footage of last year’s superjam at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival with D’Angelo and the Roots is finally here and it’s quite enlightening. Questlove details how the event, which culminated in the enigmatic D’Angelo’s first U.S. performance in a dozen years, came to be.
A “superjam” is a jam session where notable musicians from different bands play together for a one type only event. Quest revealed that he’s been in three so far; the first with revered bassist Pino Palladino of The Who (who was on the bass again last year) and Herbie Hancock and the second with John Paul Jones of Led Zepellin and Ben Harper.
In this first episode of the by Danny Clinch-directed film, besides discussing how the show was even made possible despite Quest’s insanely busy schedule, we see the the Roots and D’Angelo perform “My Summertime Thang” by The Time, which was penned by Prince. The rendition also features an incredible saxophone performance from Eric Leeds.
Presented by Bonnaroo 365, future episodes will include the band riffing on “Pride and Vanity” by the Ohio Players, “Hit It and Quit It” and “Funky Dollar Bill” by Parliament Funkadelic and ”She Came In Through the Bathroom Window” by the Beatles. Talk about an eclectic selection.

Following the ALL GONE stop in Shanghai, the team stopped over in Hong Kong for a book signing at JUICE in Causeway Bay. On hand to celebrate the event with Michael Dupouy were Edison Chen, Kevin Poon, Matthew Williams and Dr. Romanelli. In addition to the book signing, several pieces from CLOT that were featured in the street culture tome were also on display. Fans of the paisley print from the cover of this years ALL GONE also had the opportunity to pick up one the t-shirts which are also available online. Stay tuned for the next stop at Stussy Taipei in Taiwan.

Nike Hyperdunk 2012 iD – “Extraterrestrial” NIKEiD Design Options

To coincide with its “outer space” design theme of this year’s NBA All-Star Footwear Collection, Nike Basketball added a special design option to the NIKEiD color palette. Named “Extraterrestrial”, the unique pattern feature identical stars and galaxies print as those on the All-Star Pack. Limited to Nike Hyperdunk 2012 iD and only available this weekend starting from Friday, February 15th, to Sunday, February 17th.
