Dr. Dre Speaks At USC Graduation [VIDEO]
May 19th
USC’s 2013 graduating class received words of wisdom from industry legend Jimmy Iovine at their commencement ceremony Friday. Little did attendees know that the Beats By Dre cofounder had a surprise in store, as he introduced his business partner and one of Hip-Hop’s greatest producers, Dr. Dre.
“Walking around USC today it seems like everyone’s a doctor, which is funny ’cause I brought my partner here today, who also happens to be a doctor. So in the words of the great Slim Shady, will the real Dr. Dre please stand up and join me on stage?” said Iovine emphatically.
Dre, who was seated in the audience with his wife, took the stage to give a brief statement. “Make some noise Trojans!,” said the Compton native, who recently donated a combined million with Iovine to start an undergrad program at USC. ”I am excited and I am proud to now be a member of the Trojan family. I would also like to say congratulations to the University of Southern California’s Class of 2013.”
The Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy for Arts, Technology and the Business of Innovation will provide a special four-year program for undergraduates whose interests span several fields from marketing to computer science to visual design and other arts.
The academy will accept its first class of 25 students fall 2014.
See Dre speak and Iovine’s hilarious closer in the footage below.

Influential house producer and singer Anthony Moore, aka Romanthony, has died earlier this month. Moore was best known for providing vocals for Daft Punk’s single “One More Time” as well as “Too Long” — both off of the French duo’s 2001 offering Discovery. The artist has reportedly passed away at his home in Austin, Tex. on May 7. His sister Mellony Moore confirmed the passing in a Facebook post on May 9, and friends like Boys Noize, MikeQ and Eve Angel have all taken to social media to confirm the news, express their grief and pay tribute to their friend. The cause of death has not yet been confirmed. We send our condolences to his family and friends. Rest in Peace.

Drake Makes Cameo In Anchorman 2 [PHOTO]
May 19th
It’s looking like Anchorman: The Legend Continues is going to have a healthy dose of Hip-Hop star power. Besides Kanye West, YMCMB’s Drake, who was recently spotted in the studio with Jay-Z, makes a cameo in the film, too.
Reports the New York Daily News:
As if there wasn’t enough of a star-studded cameo list including Kanye West, Kristen Wiig, Amy Poehler, Jim Carrey, Tina Fey and Harrison Ford to keep fans in a glass case of emotion over, it appears rapper Drake has made a debut.
In a photo snapped Saturday in New York circa 1977, a male donning a fro and leather jacket who looks strikingly like the “Take Care” singer was seen on set.
Fellow rapper and guest star West, filmed his scenes last week also sporting an afro and leather jacket choking Steve Carrell’s character with a hockey stick.
Yeezy also rocks an afro and looks like he is blessing Steve Carell’s character with the fade courtesy of a hockey stick in photos of his appearance from the set. Anchorman: The Legend Continues is due in the theaters by the end of the year. Drake’s new album, Nothing Was The Same, is in stores sometime this summer.

Drake Spotted On The Set Of ‘Anchorman 2′
May 19th

By Maurice Bobb
“You stay classy, Toronto.” That has a nice ring to it, but there’s no way Drake, who was spotted on the set of “Anchorman: The Legend Continues” on Saturday (May 18) afternoon in New York by the NY Daily News, will be allowed to steal the film’s star Will Ferrell’s signature line for the highly-anticipated sequel.
Dressed in a leather “Members Only” jacket, vintage t-shirt and jeans and topped with a huge afro bookended by ’70′s era sideburns, Drizzy was movie-shoot fresh on the streets of Manhattan, dusting off the acting chops he perfected as a castmember of “Degrassi: The Next Generation.”

The Take Care MC joins fellow rap superstar Kanye West, who was seen on set last week on the movie’s Atlanta set, in the cameo-heavy follow-up to 2004’s surprise hit, “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.”
This is the second time this week that Drake has hopped into the hip-hop time machine. The “Started From the Bottom” rapper wore a vintage Dada outfit on the set of the “No New Friends” video shoot, a move that quickly became a trending topic on Twitter after the behind-the-scenes photograph was released on Instagram.
No word on what Drake’s role in the film will be, but from the looks of the new trailer, this second act looks like it just might live up to the first one.
Jay-Z Spotted In The Studio With Drake [PHOTO]
May 19th
This summer could be very special. Jay-Z is working on and album, and so is Drake. The two artists were recently spotted in the studio together.
Lenny Santiago, the longtime A&R for the Roc, shared a pic Hova and Drizzy in the lab via Instagram. “Warning: Please be very afraid of the music we’re working on. OVO x ROCNATION,” reads the caption accompanying the pic.
Earlier in the week, Jigga was spotted cooking up what’s sure to be some heat with Wu-Tang Clan’s Raekwon. Still no word on when we can expect a new Jay-Z album, though. With reports of his wife Beyoncé being pregnant with baby number two, any sort of timetable may have been thrown off. Drake’s new album, Nothing Was The Same, is dues out this summer.
Also, you can find that Bourg Eoisie sweatshirt by a label called SOULLAND that Jay-Z is rocking right here. At 0 each, the designer, 23-year-old Silas Adler, just came up. And no, bourgeoisie is not a code word for the Illuminati.

Kanye West Performs ‘New Slaves’ & ‘Black Skinhead’ on ‘Saturday Night Live’ Finale
May 19th

A crazy weekend for Kanye West was capped off by a stellar performance on the finale of Saturday Night Life. Following-up on his own promotions of “New Slaves” on the buildings of various metropolitan areas across the world, the Saturday Night Live segment included the aforementioned song as well as “Black Skinhead” — a song including a sample of Marilyn Manson’s Beautiful People. Beyond music, the cultural icon has often been a talking point in the realm of fashion to which Yeezy didn’t disappoint, taking to the stage in a black-studded leather jacket paired with an upcoming iteration of the Air Yeezy.
