RUMOR PATROL: DID AZELIA BANKS JUST OUT ASAP ROCKY ON TWITTER?!
Apr 12th
The twitter beef between Azealia Banks and ASVP Mob is on once again! After a long exchange of tweets between Azealia and AsvpNvst, he said she has aligator hands and she said he was just a broke dude riding Rocky’s coat tails. Obviously not in such nice terms! Azealia Banks reached her breaking point and put Rocky on blast for allegedly being gay and hooking up with a dude named “Kenneth” up in Harlem. Now as AsvpNsvt said, theres a million dudes named Kenny in Harlem but that isn’t exactly a denial of the fact. Azelia also posted a picture, show below, of AsvpNvst and Asap Rocky in an oddly close embrace with the following tweet.
She also inferred that Rocky should just come out of the closet and be free since he is so fond of giving make up advice. What does this all mean??? I don’t know!! Is any of this true??? I don’t know! But what I do know is should any more develop on this topic HipHopcube will be on top it all!
VIDEO: Lil Wayne Stop Nicki Minaj From Performing at SummerJam 2012
Jun 4th
****STOP THIS VIDEO AT 59secs. The poster on youtube added his own AD at the end.***
Lil Wayne decided to shut the Nicki Minaj performance at summer jam 2012 down. Word is its all because Peter Rosenberg made a statement before the show that he felt was “Disrespectful”.
Peter Rosenberg said basically “i know some of yall ladies in here right now waiting to hear that starships later, f*ck that bullshit.”
A lot of tweets were then posted by Nicki Minaj stating the young money president has spoken. So she didn’t perform because Ebro of HOT97 wouldn’t do anything about it apparently. The headliner of the show shouldn’t be dissed but then again when has Rosenberg not said what he feels. I think thats the point of having rosenberg on the radio in the first place. He stands and stans for “real hiphop” and lets face it Nicki Minaj is not that, lil wayne is not that. You would think people with that kind of money in this hiphop business would be able to separate their issues with small ish like this…
But then again Lil Wayne did respond to Pusha T… that is off top reaching below his higher level of success for no gain at all. PushaT definitely came up on that beef also.
PS. Pusha T also performed at Summer Jam 2012. Is that not disrespect also?
Swizz Beatz’s Monster Music Signs with Imagem Music
May 16th

Imagem Music USA (IMU) has signed a joint venture with Swizz Beatz and his company, Monster Music. The first signings under the joint venture include Tyrone Johnson and Naki “Snagz” Levy.
Kaseem Dean, aka Swizz Beatz, has produced and worked with many of the elite in music, including Jay-Z, Beyoncé, DMX, Kanye West and T.I among many others. In addition to several guest appearances and production credits, Swizz dropped his own album One Man Band Man in 2007 and is now set to release his much anticipated second studio album later this year. Tyrone Johnson and Naki “Snagz” Levy, the first writers to be signed under the joint venture, were found and developed by Swizz. Johnson has produced on albums such as Diddy, Dirty Money’s Last Train to Paris, Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday, and wrote on Jadakiss’ The Last Kiss. Additionally, Ty has worked with a variety of artists, including Estelle, Usher, Beyoncé and T-Pain to name a few. Snagz, who is an up and coming artist, boasts credits on Jadakiss’ The Last Kiss as well as Swizz Beatz’ One Man Band Man. Swizz Beatz is represented by Motisola Zulu and Douglas Davis of The Davis Firm.
“I’m excited to be partnering with Richard [Stumpf] and the entire group over at Imagem Music,” said Swizz Beatz. “This partnership will enable me to further develop my group of talented producers and also introduce many new producers and writers to the world.”
“Monster Music Publishing is one of the first ventures to come from the Monster Music Group umbrella, and we’re looking forward to much success with Imagem as our partner,” said Monique Blake, President of Monster Music Group.
“In addition to being a fantastic artist, writer and producer himself, Swizz is a magnet for great talent. We are very excited to partner with such an important member of the creative community,” said Richard Stumpf, President of IMU. “Amanda [Schupf, Creative Manager at Imagem Music] goes back a long way with Swizz and his team so it is great to see that trust and friendship blossom into a business relationship.”

Antoina “Toya” Carter is a woman of many talents, she is a producer on her own reality show “Toya Carter: A Family Affair”, is the buyer at her own boutique in New Orleans, founder of a non profit organization that she hopes to take nationwide and the author of a new book called “Priceless Inspirations” aimed towards teenage girls in need of guidance. While many have tried to stereotype her as another one of Lil Wayne’s ex’s, she is determined to show the world that she is much more than a rappers former wife. Yesterday afternoon I spoke with Toya about everything from her new boutique, personal style, her efforts to help young women and her future in reality television. You can get to know an love Toya Carter as much as I do by reading the interview below
__________
HipHopFashionista: Hi Toya! Thanks for taking time out of your day to speak with Hiphopcube.com! I am the style editor for the site so lets start with some fashion questions. How would you describe your personal style?
Toya Carter: I would say my style is edgy. I’m a nice top and jeans kind of girl, nice fitted dresses and sandals.
HHF: I heard you just opened your own boutique, what is it called and where is it?
TC: My boutique is called Garb, it is located in New Orleans, Louisiana. I am the buyer for Garb and I also have a special section in store called “Toya’s Closet” that is stocked with designer clothing, bags and shoes that I have worn before. Garb is very Chic!
HHF: That is awesome! I read that in your new book priceless inspirations you are giving advice to teenage girls, is there one peice of advice that you think all young women should know?
TC: I would tell them to work extremely hard toward their goals and never let anyone tell them what they can’t or steal their joy. Know your weaknesses as well as their strengths.
HHF: Can you tell me a little more about your non profit organization?
TC: My non-profit is called “Visual Beauty” We help young women find their own inner beauty and self worth. We recently helped our girls with prom. I took care of everything from hair and make up to transportation for them so that they could enjoy themselves.
HHF: That is so great! Do you work mostly with girls in New Orleans or are you nationwide?
TC: Right now we work in the New Orleans area and Atlanta but would love to go nationwide. I have some events coming up this summer that will happen in the New Orleans Area but we are hoping to take them from city to city.
HHF: That is really exciting! Don’t forget to keep ups posted on HipHopcube.com so that we can support you in all that you do in the future.
TC: Of course!
HHF: You have so much on your plate right now with a new store an community involvement and your new reality show “Toya Carter: A Family Affair” which airs tonight on BET. Can we expect to see more reality tv from you in the future?
TC: I don’t know hopefully I can get behind the scenes more. I produce on my current show but would like to produce more shows in the future that I am not on.
HHF: Sounds like a plan to me. Here at Hiphopcube.com we have a signature question we ask in every interview and that is: Alive or dead who are your top 3 favorite rappers of all time?
TC: I would say Tupac, Lil Wayne and *long pause* Jay-z.
