Kobe Bryant Shares Bloody Photo Of His Achilles Surgery [PHOTOS]
May 15th
When he is one the court, Kobe Bryant‘s motivation is pretty obvious; get buckets, win games. Off the court, what the former Columbia records rapper does next while off the court is anyone’s guest. For example, today the Los Angeles Laker decided to share a photo of the surgery to repair his torn Achilles tendon.
Bryant shared the pic via Instagram and it is not for the faint of heart. “One month ago yesterday #surgery #graphic #RealNoImage #mambamentality,” reads the caption. The pic includes three sets of hands, a scalpel, a needle and a gaping hole in the back of Kobe Bryant’s leg. There really is no more to say, besides “yuck.”
Check out the flick, and some less bloody images of his leg post surgery, in the gallery. Don’t be mad at us, we warned you.

Pras Addresses Lauryn’s Prison Sentence

”Whatever You Need, I Got Your Back”
Former Fugee Lauryn Hill looks to be headed to prison for three months in July for tax evasion. Her former bandmate Pras was approached by TMZ to offer his take on Lauryn’s issues and Pras admitted that he hadn’t talked with her about anything. “Nah, I haven’t spoken to her,” Pras said. “But I did leave a call for her. So, you know, if she gets back to me, then you know. I wanted to just reach out to her and be like, ‘Yo, whatever you need, I got your back.’” “I doubt if she’s gonna do three months, though,” he added. “Nah. Listen, if Lindsay Lohan doesn’t do any time, why would she do time? You feel me?” He also said that he’s doing his own thing–and he’s avoiding the taxman. “Everything’s great,” he said. “Great. Yeah, you know, I’m good. You know what? I ain’t got no tax problems, that’s what it’s all about. You gotta stay away from that.” |
Miami Mayoral Candidate Claims She’s “Endorsed” By Jesus [VIDEO]
May 14th
One of North Miami’s mayoral candidates has found a political endorsement in the form of a Lord and Savior. Anna Pierre has called on the help of Jesus Christ to win election.
Pierre, a registered nurse, is one of seven candidates running for mayor and proclaimed Christ’s dedication to her campaign as polls opened at the Gwen Margolis Community Center, Tuesday (May 14) morning. ”Yes, Jesus endorsed me!”
She also made a very important point clear: ”I’m not nuts, if I’m a freak and nuts for Jesus, let it be! Let the world know that Jesus is it, and when you have Jesus on your side you can go on.”
Jesus popped into Pierre’s head while on the campaign trail, driving her to not only seek his political approval, but plaster his face on her campaign flyers. “I don’t know about if he likes me more, but what I can tell you, I know he loves me very much,” she said. “If it wasnt for the love of Jesus I wouldn’t be standing here today.”
As it turns out, voters aren’t completely turned off by Pierre’s antics. While one person wasn’t sure if they should to “maintain the cosmic balance,” by choosing the Haiti native given her “powerful endorsement,” another just want her to be happy. “I’m Christian and if she believes it– I’ve never heard it before– but you know, she could’ve been [endorsed by Jesus],” said voter Ann Simpson.
Pierre’s alignment with Christ came just in time to ward off the evil spirits. She previously accused one of her opponents of putting voodoo items (candles, food, and dolls with pins stuck in them) outside her campaign office, as an intimidation tactic. ”The voodoo stuff, I don’t know who’s doing it, but I’m not afraid,” she said of the situation. “It’s just intimidation to … slow me down. But you know what? I’m not going to slow down until the finish line.”
That’s the spirit.

Beyonce Pregnancy Rumors Heat Up After Show Cancellation
May 14th

By Sowmya Krishnamurthy
The demands of an international world tour can take their toll on a diva. Beyonce is canceling tonight’s concert of The Mrs. Carter World Tour in Belgium due to exhaustion, while pregnancy rumors continue to swirl.
People reports that the superstar is not going onstage because of dehydration and exhaustion. The magazine shares that in an email to the Associated Press, Bey’s publicist says she has “been advised by her doctors to rest” and they are “awaiting word from her doctors” before deciding whether Wednesday’s show will go on.
The show cancellation and fatigue is only fueling rumors of Beyonce being pregnant again. Yesterday, RapFix shared a NY Post report that “multiple sources” have confirmed Bey is expecting baby #2 following last week’s Met Gala.
In a recent interview with “Good Morning America,” Beyonce did open up that she did want more children, but most likely after the end of The Mrs. Carter Tour. “I would like more children,” Beyoncé said. “I think my daughter needs some company. I definitely love being a big sister and at some point when it’s supposed to happen. My biggest job in the world is to protect my daughter and I am very protective.”
Beyonce and hubby Jay-Z’s first baby, Blue Ivy, recently made a cameo during her mama’s show in London. At the end of “Irreplaceable,” little Blue reach out and held Beyoncé’s hand while rocking mini protective headphones. Rumors of Beyonce’s second pregnancy surfaced late last year. Bey’s mom, Tina Knowles, denied th erumors at the time. “It’s gonna happen when it’s time, but not right now,” Knowles said. “Of course I [want more grandchildren] though! I harass [Beyoncé] all the time.”
Dry Woo-Ha: 10 Things We Learned From Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta Ep. 4 [PHOTOS]
May 14th
Another week has arrived, which means another struggle and passion filled episode of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta gets added to the archive. There were no fisticuffs in the fourth episode, but there was nevertheless plenty of mind boggling commentary including the revelation that K.Michelle has a dry vagina.
Yeah, you read that right. K.Michelle insisted that since the last guy that entered her “hot pocket,” which everyone assumes is Knicks guard J.R. Smith, it just hasn’t been acting right. We couldn’t make this stuff up if we tried. The audacity of this may have been trumped by what looked like a lover’s quarrel involving Benzino and Stevie J, who seem to have let one Joseline Hernandez drive a wedge between their relationship. Aww.
Take a look at 10 Things We Learned From Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’s fourth and latest episode in the gallery below.

Is Danity Kane Reuniting Without Diddy?
May 14th
By Sowmya Krishnamurthy
Danity Kane may be back but without their mentor and the man who discovered them, Sean “Diddy” Combs. The girl group was put together by Diddy on the music talent search MTV’s “Making The Band” but they seem to be forging out on their own.
TMZ reports that four members of the original five: Aubrey O’Day, Dawn Richard, Shannon Bex and Aundrea Fimbres were seen lunching with a new manager in LA. TMZ shares that a reunion record and tour are slated to arrive.
TMZ asked the girls if Diddy was involved this time around and their response, “Who’s that?”, seems to indicate that the Bad Boy honcho is not involved at all.
In 2008, the group, known for songs like “Damaged,” was dismantled with Aubrey and D. Woods being fired. “I would rather be hated every damn day of my life for being real than loved for being something I’m not,” O’Day told Sway on the special that aired at the time. Diddy seemingly fired Aubrey for her diva attitude. “Check this out, baby girl,” Diddy said. “See, your attitude is gonna have you in a dark and lonely place. … What you need to do, at the end of the day, is humble yourself.
In 2009 the remainder of the group was gone too. “It changes [our situation] completely,” Dawn said to MTV News then. “We have fans out there who love Danity Kane. We love Danity Kane. It’s hard. We’re sitting here trying to make sense of it now. It’s hard. We’re put in this position that we didn’t ask to be in and we’re being told to fix it.”
Members Dawn and Aubrey have continued to stay in the spotlight. Recently, Aubrey appeared on “Celebrity Apprentice” while Dawn has continually pursued music as part of Dirty Money and on her own.
New Music: B.o.B f/ 2 Chainz – ‘HeadBand’
May 14th

B.o.B proves that he can perform with Taylor Swift, but still be ratchet on his twerking anthem “HeadBand” featuring 2 Chainz.
“Drop that ass down,” commands the Atlanta rapper over the whistling DJ Mustard-produced beat.
The single hits iTunes on May 21, while B.o.B’s third album Underground Luxury is due later this summer.
“This project is a lot more effortless than anything because I’ve really shown the full spectrum of what I can do musically, so now I’m just having fun with it. I’m 24 years old, so I’m partying,” B.o.B told Rap-Up TV.
