It’s been quite sometime since we’ve heard from this musical maestro known as A.Chal. The purveyor of mind-blowing visuals and genre bending mixes shares with us an impressive new ensemble today titled “Paid in Full.” It opens up with the infamous Killa Cam quote from his acting debut on “Paid in Full” with a Trina sample that got the screw treatment quite nicely. In the meantime, it also appears his debut project Ballroom Riots is in its final stages via his twitter so expect that soon and check out the latest mix to hold you down for now, stay tuned.

R.I.P. Donna Summer

Singer Donna Summer is understood to have died this morning after a battle with cancer, she was 63 yeard old. The five-time Grammy winner, known as the ‘Queen of Disco’, passed away in Florida, according to TMZ. The news has not yet been confirmed by her spokesperson. The star is best known for her string of 70s disco tracks including “I Feel Love,” “Love to Love You Baby,” “Last Dance,” “Hot Stuff” and “She Works Hard for the Money.”

Diplo featuring Lazerdisk Party Sex – Set It Off

Diplo announces the June 12 release of the Express Yourself EP by enclosing the second track to come off that offering “Set If Off,” featuring Lazerdisk Party Sex. The EP is in fact Diplo’s first compilation release since the breakout Florida album (2004). Express Yourself EP is set to reflect the producer’s extensive forte of genres ranging from Dancehall to New Orleans Bounce to Electronic Dance Music. The likes of Datsik, Elephant Man and Flinch are also set to feature, not forgetting Nicky Da B who feature’s on the EP’s title track. Listen in on “Set It Off” to give you an inclination of what’s to come.

Paper Crows – Build EP

As part of their EP release Build, British act Paper Crows have accompanied their offering with a unique concept of creating four visuals for the four tracks in the EP and combining together to create one interactive player. The clip was shot using slow motion and green screen technology. Build was co-produced by the Paper Crows and Pete ‘Boxsta’ Martin and includes a cover of Smashing Pumpkins track “Disarm.” Paper Crows will follow the release of Build with a rare live date at London’s The Social on June 12th as part of the Huw Stephen Presents… series.

John West – Nobody
May 17th
Following his previous releases alongside Pusha T and Big Sean, singer/rapper John West takes a lone voyage with “Nobody.” This slow jam reverberates the R&B sounds of the early 00’s, drawing parallels to the likes of Jon B and Joe with West’s vocals laid down over a smooth production including piano composition. Expect to see a visual for this one in the next week or so and West’s latest self-titled EP is out now.
