Modeled after the timeless “Hello My Name Is” name tag, the tote features a striped canvas body with white straps, contrast stitching and an interior pocket. Available in the navy version seen here and in a pink design, the tote is due out this August with a retail price of ¥9,450 JPY (approximately 8 USD) from ZOZO.

SNICKERIET Handmade Furniture

Aiming to bring together carpenters and designers in a collaborative and creative endeavor, designers Karl-Johan Hjerling and Karin Wallenbäck have linked up with carpenters Gunnar Dahl and Karolina Stenfelt to establish SNICKERIET (meaning “carpentry” in Swedish). The Stockholm-based company has put out its very first collection of handmade furniture, which includes two beautiful, simply designed cabinets, a desk and light fixture using everything from steel and elm veneer to pine and plexiglass. Developing pieces for both private and professional customers, additional pieces from SNICKERIET are soon to follow.

WTAPS – Spring 2012 Collection “Better Than Yesterday” | Delivery 2

“Better Than Yesterday” is the sanguine title for WTAPS‘ current Spring/Summer 2012 collection, the second delivery of which is arriving in stores now. The phrase is an apt descriptor of the pieces on offer, taking classic designs and infusing them with modern fabrications and construction techniques, along with WTAPS’s signature aesthetic that blends military design notes with a distinct trad sensibility.
