Casey Veggies – The Team

Casey Veggies and crew hit the baseball diamond for the video coinciding with the West Coast rapper’s Life Changes-featured cut, “The Team.” Appropriately adhering to the team concept of the track, throughout the footage, you will see Casey and company enjoying their time playing some baseball. Life Changes dropped earlier this year, as we suggest you put that in rotation if you still have yet to do so. Enjoy.

C-Murder Released From Prison To Attend Funeral

c-murder

By Nakiya Morgan

This past Saturday (August 3), C-Murder was released from prison to attend his grandmother’s funeral. Surrounded by family and friends, the No Limit rapper arrived dressed in his orange jumpsuit and handcuffs and still managed to crack a smile.

C-Murder, who is best known for his platinum-selling debut album Life or Death, is currently serving life in prison for the fatal shooting of a 16-year old boy in a Louisiana nightclub in 2002. Thought it was a sad day for the Milller family, they still appeared to be happy to spend time with the rapper, who has been incarcerated in the Angola State Penitentiary.

Murder’s nephew Romeo Miller shared a picture on Instagram of himself and the rapper with the caption, “Being able to just sit & have a conversation w/my uncle @iamcmurder was a blessing. We gonna get you home Uncle C! Love ya,” while adding added #bestmoment #freeC to his heartfelt post.

Miller took to Twitter as well to rejoice over his uncle’s brief return with his followers. “Happy I got to see you today. Love you Unc,” he tweeted, while adding “We gone get you home soon!”

Murder also expressed his gratitude to his fans for their kind words during this devastating time.

Republican Congressman Drums Up Birther Talk, Calls Obamcare ‘Racist’ [LISTEN]

At a recent town hall meeting last weekend, Florida congressman Ted Yoho was critical of gay marriage, accused immigrants of being terrorists, and even managed to reignite the “birther” debate. The strangest declaration, however, was the Republican lawmaker saying that Obamacare is racist against white people.

Yoho’s speech was leaked to the Internets earlier today by People For The American Way’s right-wing watchdog group, Right Wing Watch. The congressman rambled about supporting potential birther legislation from Texas Rep. Steve Stockman, ultimately stating that the law was a “distraction” but hopes it comes to pass to remove Obama from office.

“They said if it is true, it’s illegal,” said Yoho of the possible legislation. “He shouldn’t be there and we can get rid of everything he’s done, and I said I agree with that.”

Yoho dropped more stunning words in the nearly 90-minute speech, but things took a turn when he began to discuss the Affordable Care Act, aka “Obamacare” and called the law racist because of a sun tanning tax.

“I had a little fun with [House Speaker John] Boehner and told him about the sun tanning tax,” said Yoho. “He goes, ‘I didn’t know it was in there,’ and I said, ‘Yes, it’s a ten percent tax.’”

Yoho continued, “He goes, ‘You know what, it is.’ I had an Indian doctor in our office the other day, very dark skin, with two non-dark skin people, and I asked this to him, I said, ‘Have you ever been to a tanning booth?’ and he goes, ‘No, no need.’ So therefore it is a racist tax.”

Listen to the bizarre audio of Rep. Yoho’s Obamacare rant below. Hit the following pages for more audio of the congressman railing against President Obama’s policies, immigration, and more.

If you’re a glutton for punishment, the entire speech can be heard in its entirety by following this link.

WSOP 2013 November Nine All Set, No Nelly in Sight

Nine finalists to return for main event poker tournament in Vegas in four months

After nine days of intense, gruelling competition at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, for the World Series Of Poker (WSOP) 2013, the top nine chip holders from the No-Limit Hold’em Main Event emerged for a final roundup in November. Unfortunately, R&B superstar and professional poker player Nelly, didn’t make it to the finalist’s roster.

More than just hip-hop

No stranger to the poker tables, the 38-year old rapper who dished out chart-toppers such as “Hot in Herre” and “Dilemma”, is also an accomplished poker player. Nelly has participated in the WSOP Main Event in 2007, as well as the European Poker Tour Grand Final in 2009. Poker portal CardPlayer got the chance to sit down with the R&B superstar and talk about his poker games. “I just want to have some fun. I play a lot of cash games but I don’t really get a chance to play tournaments,” Nelly revealed.

The big event

The PartyPoker -sponsored main event is the most prestigious proving ground for the mettle of professional poker players all over the world. Over 60 different game categories comprise the World Series Of Poker event, including the Event 6, known as the “Million Maker”, and the Main Event, a No-Limit Hold’em poker game. The winner of this event is crowned as the World Champion of Poker, and receives an exclusive WSOP bracelet.

The best of the best

This year’s prestigious November Nine consists of some of the best professional poker players, as well as some surprising newcomers. Among them is the United States’ JC Tran, the most decorated poker player in the pack. With over $8 million in total career earnings and a winner of back-to-back WSOP gold bracelets, Tran is already guaranteed more than $730,000 by earning a spot on the final table. This guarantee will become his new career-high winnings, and will push his total career winnings to over $9 million.

Five of the nine finalists, including JC Tran, are American poker players. Among them are David Benefield, Ryan Riess, and Marc Newhouse. Marc-Etienne McLaughlin, playing his fifth Main Event this year, also joins the pack in a bid to make history as the second French-Canadian to become a World Champion of Poker. Completing the group are Sylvain Loosi from France, Dutch player Michiel Brummelhuis, and Israeli hustler Amir Lehavot.

Of particular interest is the last player of the November Nine – American Jay Farber. The 28-year-old Las Vegas VIP host, while not a professional poker player, is joining the WSOP Main Event for the second time. He is also the player in the group with the least amount of poker cash-outs, with total career winnings amounting to just over $2,000. Surprisingly, he will start off in fourth place, with over $25,975,000 worth of chips, besting five other seasoned poker professionals. According to Farber, poker is more of a hobby than a career.
