Sergio Garcia – “Heat” Gunpowder Prints Of Air Jordans | Video

Artist Sergio Garcia, a self-described “huge Jordan fan,” received his first pair of Air Jordans from a friend. They were a used pair of IIIs, and Sergio was able to restore them so effectively that his friend actually asked for them back. His love for Jordans was such that it propelled him to create a series of works that celebrated Tinker Hatfield’s designs, but in the sort of pop art vein that called to mind Andy Warhol. Inspired by a Michael Jordan quote urging the importance of turning a negative situation into a positive one, he turned to gun powder as a medium for his colorful screen prints — the ultimate expression of taking something for negative use and creating something positive. Sergio’s colorful “Heat” prints feature iconic Air Jordan models that are priced affordably so they can reach a younger generation, perhaps acting as their introduction to the art world. Kanye West will be making an appearance on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” The minute it became known that Yeezy was dating show star Kim Kardashian, fans began speculating whether or not the high-profile (but still officially ‘secret’) couple would appear before the cameras. Kim revealed that her famous boo will, in fact, have a cameo or two on the show. “I want to show my life,” she said. “If we are having dinner and he does show up, I’m sure we’re not going to go, ‘Stop the cameras!’” “I’m not going to be taking a bubble bath and drinking champagne or on a sex swing [on camera] like Khloé [Kardashian Odom] and Lamar [Odom] do,” she continued. “It’s not going to be like that.” |
Adult Swim Announces Season 4 Of The Boondocks

It’s been a long time coming but The Boondocks is finally about to bless your TV screens once again. Adult Swim announced via their website, that season 4 will kick-off soon, but didn’t release details on the premiere date.
Creator, Aaron McGruder is infamous for taking one long hiatus after another, and it’s been well over two years since the debut of season 3. Either way television has been starved of the antics of Huey, Riley, and Granddad.

50 Cent Hospitalized–Talks Surgery & Stomach Virus

50 Cent has been tweeting pics of himself in the hospital this evening–and he’s not only upset about having to apparently get surgery, but also about the stuffed animals DJ Drama sent over.

Folks around the net doubted the realness of these hospital beds when Curtis first tweeted them, especially since he made sure to throw in promo for his new mixtape saying:
“I’m in the hospital but my gangsta grillz LOST TAPE is done so it will be out on time…Do not do a @djdrama gangsta grillz this is all I get. Ain’t this a b*tch. I give 15 tracks you give me this.”
But apparently, his hospital stint is very real:

“First they wanted to keep it quiet, but he’s not a quiet guy,” said Drama about 50, who is collaborating with Dram to put out his The Lost Tape gangsta grillz mixtape on May 22. “He should be cool. It’s nothing that serious. We still gonna do our promo run stuff [Thursday].”
