This Air Jordan 13 Retro is based on an early sample and brings back a black leather and suede upper with Gym Red accents. In the classic Chicago Bulls colorway, these XIII’s should be placed fairly high on many sneakerheads’ holiday gift lists. The sneaker notably trades in Varsity Red for hits of Gym Red seen on the pods and branding.

As the presenting sponsor of Power 106’s Cali Christmas concert for the second year in a row, Footaction made sure that we were there to capture everything in style. With a performance line-up including some of the biggest hip-hop acts like Big Sean, J. Cole, T.I., G-Eazy, Tinashe, Lil’ Jon, Chris Brown, Jeremih and Kid Ink, guest appearances were also made by Ty Dolla Sign, French Montana, Tyga and E-40 during the partyful night.
However, it didn’t stop at throwing the West Coast’s biggest hip-hop concert. Footaction invited select top-tier influencers and media from across the nation to get an inside look at how style played a role in the event. We provided an inside look at the latest fashion trends during a personalized styling session, gave the influencers VIP treatment at the concert, in addition to hosting a private dinner for three buzzing artists: G-Eazy, Casey Veggies and Hit-Boy.
Cali Christmas also served as the backdrop for the third and final installment of our Style Means series. This time around, we highlighted G-Eazy who is an up-and-coming rapper and is known for his clean and classic style earning him the title “the James Dean of Hip-Hop.”
While the concert continued to bring the energy all night, backstage had its own type of energy. Our team was stationed in the media room with Power 106’s Mando Fresko who interviewed several acts and celebrities who stopped through to the event, while asking questions about their style and of course what they wanted for Christmas.
Check out the recap video and pictures from the event up above.
Sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in the enviable lifestyle of NBA players but people rarely consider the amount of hard work these guys put in when the cameras aren’t on them. Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder stars in our newest Foot Locker Approved commercial called “Ready to Fly” in which he schools a young star on the strenuous work it takes to “fly.” Featuring Westbrook and a cameo from Spike Lee, “Ready to Fly” is all about the work necessary to accomplish flight – and the new colorways of the Air Jordan XX9 that we’ll be seeing this holiday season.
