Nike Lil’ Penny Posites
Jun 3rd
You can’t stop him. You won’t stop him. The ½ man behind the man, Lil Penny, is back with two new designs of his signature model, the Lil Penny Posite.
Aesthetically, the design builds upon blocks of Penny’s past, notably elements of the Air Zoom Rookie and the Nike Air Up, as a symbolic follow up to the Nike Air ½ Cent. A decoupled Posite upper retains iconic styling while affording more flexibility, a change of pace from Posites of the past.
Featuring a full-length Nike Lunar midsole and Zoom cushioning in the heel, the Lil Penny Posite also employs the latest cushioning technologies, from the bottom up. Molded wings on the shoe’s quarter add a modern sensibility while vintage Flight and 1 Cent insignia keep the design true to its lineage. The season may be winding down, but as the saying goes, basketball never stops. Catch Lil Penny on a block near you this summer — and this time, he’ll have his own sneaker rotation to choose from.
The Nike Lil Penny Posite drops in two new colors this Saturday, June 7th for $ 180 each. Check the Launch Locator to see which stores will have these releases.
“Hyper Pink” – Available at House of Hoops by Foot Locker and Footlocker.com.
More than the game, fame, and acclaim, Lil Penny wanted one thing: Love. The ½ Cent-ed legend was a baller by association but a lover from the beginning. Touches of Hyper Pink pay homage to LP’s love-first-ask-questions-later nature while a predominantly Wolf Grey upper keeps the design classically cool.
“Hyper Jade” – Available at Foot Locker, House of Hoops by Foot Locker and Footlocker.com.
Though his love for a certain model-esque beauty is no secret, Lil Penny never strayed away from the nightlife. As such, LP had to get fresh with a pair designed specifically for those late nights that turn into early mornings. Featuring a black reflective upper and a glow-in-the-dark outsole, being seen in any light is the mission. And it’s safe to say: Mission accomplished.

LeBron 11 Elite Gold – $ 275
Designed to fit the reigning MVP and world champ’s game, the LEBRON 11 Elite Gold edition is strong and sleek, all in black and set off by gold-colored detailing. The shoe represents an evolution of the LEBRON 11, now with a lower cut and new articulated external cage to keep him contained for the playoffs. The Hyperposite protection and dynamic Flywire fiber in the upper combine with Lunarlon cushioning and a Nike Zoom unit in the midsole to maximize performance.
Kobe 9 Elite Gold – $ 225
The KOBE 9 Elite is the brand’s first basketball shoe featuring Flyknit, which defies conventional shoe manufacturing processes by creating a one-piece engineered upper made from single strands of yarn. The KOBE 9 Elite Gold sports a white upper with gray, black and gold details throughout. Designed by Eric Avar as Bryant’s most provocative shoe to date, it maximizes innovation with Lunarlon, dynamic Flywire and carbon fiber throughout.
KD VI Elite Gold – $ 200
For the first time in a KD signature shoe, this new Elite version boasts a full-length, visible Nike Zoom unit that runs through the entire midsole. Maximizing breathability and strength, the KD VI Elite Gold moves precisely and naturally with the foot while featuring new design details such as a ’35-6’ logo on the shoe’s tongue. This primarily white shoe features Flywire technology, reinforced with Kevlar® aramid fibers, providing Durant with lockdown support fitting for scoring champs.

Nike Flyknit Chukka Platinum
Jun 1st
The Nike Flyknit Chukka ‘Platinum’ sneaker is an extension of the ever-popular Flyknit offering that first became available at the 2012 Summer Olympics. The Free Flyknit Chukka is a follow-up to last year’s Lunarlon-equipped Flyknit Chukka, and while it’s the 10th anniversary of the Nike Free, the hybrid makes perfect sense. The innovation of Flyknit is that the knitted upper is one piece. This sneaker, in particular, features a palette of black and grey with a contrasting white Nike Swoosh. The difference from its predecessor lies in its updated Free midsole, while the rest remains true to its original form.
Available in stores and online.
Nike Fingertrap Max ‘Land’
Jun 1st
The Nike Fingertrap Max ‘Land’ is a training shoe with a lightweight design and generous cushioning. The shoes contain a Max Air heel cushion and Phylon midsole cushion, while the upper is comprised of a breathable mesh upper. The colorway is perhaps the most notable on this pair of trainers, as it’s an extension of camouflage. Last but not least, the rubber outsole provides sure-footed traction suited well for performance. Consider these kicks when looking for shoes to accompany your explosive workouts.
Available in select stores and online.
