Tuesday Tip: How to Show Off Your Outfit on Social Media
May 4th
Showing off a complete outfit on your social media channels may not be the easiest thing especially if you don’t have a photographer following you around 24/7. For this Tuesday Tip, we’ve got you covered for three things you should consider when you have the flyest kit out there and only your cell phone. The problem is simple: “How do I show these threads off while not looking lame?”
The first type of photo you can snap is the outfit grid. That’s where you actually lay out the key pieces of of your outfit along with your essentials (keys, wallet and any small yet crucial accessory you rock) and then snap a photo of it overhead. This type of photo ensures you get everything and displays your style in an objective, yet clean manner so you can do it consistently.
The next type of photo you can post is the look down, which is a shot from mid-body down pointing at your sneakers. Your pants and sneakers are highlighted here, and for bonus points, you should subtly (or not-so-subtly) show off your location rather than the carpet in your bedroom.
The last type of photo is very specific, and that’s the sneaker in hand. Just as it sounds, it’s holding up one of your shoes and snapping a photo of it. For bonus points, wristwear/accessories, interesting backgrounds are welcome. Get creative by pairing up the details on the sneaker with its surroundings (i.e. a sneaker with camouflage infused in the front of an area with a lot of green and brown).
All-in-all, style is just as much about your perspective than as your aesthetics so use this information and examples wisely. And please no more selfies. Seriously.

Nike Air Flightposite 2014 “White/Royal/Orange”
May 3rd
The Nike Air Flightposite 2014 will drop this weekend in a white/royal blue-team orange colorway that is the modern version of a colorway made popular by former Knicks shooting guard, Allan Houston. The newest Air Flightposite sports a wavy white Foamposite wrapped upper. Royal blue takes care of the lace collar as well as the flap that covers the laces themselves – a very 90′s feature from an era that constantly experimented with the definition of what a basketball shoe could look like. While the shoe is made up of a mostly white and blue, hints of team orange surrounding the two Nike Swoosh logos on the front of the sneaker add a special pop to an already clean looking shoe.
This Nike Air Flightposite 2014 “White/Royal/Orange” drops on Saturday, May 3rd at Foot Locker and House of Hoops by Foot Locker stores and at Footlocker.com (starting at 8:00 a.m. EDT) for $ 210.

Lil Wayne Ft. Drake “Believe Me” Coming Soon + Official Track Art
May 1st
There’s no doubt that Lil Wayne is a hip-hop legend in his own right, and with his latest movements rolling out the promotion of Tha Carter V, he’s flexing the muscle of exactly how relevant he still is. Through the use of social media outlets, celebrities like Kobe Bryant and Floyd Mayweather took to Instagram to show their respect to the self-proclaimed “best rapper alive”.
Earlier this week, 5-time NBA champion Kobe Bryant posted a picture on twitter of (what seemed to be) the album cover of Weezy’s upcoming album “Tha Carter V”. Although, it was later stated that it was not the official album cover and instead to spread the message that “Tha Carter V” season is here. Yesterday, undefeated boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather posted a video on Instagram of Weezy and Drake in the studio rocking only to the beat of the much anticipated single “Believe Me”, and the cover art is presented in the slideshow of this post.
Utilizing A-list celebrities to promote an album or a single is a genius and brilliant way of promoting, where Weezy is one on a very short list of artists who can pull the greatest athletes to help with his promotion cycle. We’re definitely looking forward to the track with Drake because the combination of those two on a track is lethal.
