The Air Jordan Future “Volt” takes inspiration from the Air Jordan 11 and a one-piece woven upper to create an entirely new look. The sneaker’s design arrives with a matching rubber outsole in addition to a contrasting white midsole with full-length Air cushioning. The Future gets bright with a blast of Volt while forgoing a heel counter and toe enforcer. The futuristic, minimalistic style of this shoe is what we’ve come to appreciate, as it plays well both on the street and on the court. Complete with a matching rubber outsole and a contrasting white midsole with full-length Air cushioning, the Future is all-in-all a solid shoe in a very popular colorway.

Amidst the NFL Draft Day drama, the Nike CJ Trainer 2 appears under the radar while the shoe itself could never be classified as such. The shoe splashes orange onto the synthetic leather-and-mesh construction, including a tonal mid-foot strap that syncs up through the midsole via striking contrast green Flywire. Poison Green also contrasts on the shoe’s inner-bootie which delivers sock-like fit to provide for natural motion. The outsole employs all-surface traction, with encapsulated Zoom Air in the heel for cushioning.

Taking it back to 1997, the Nike Shooting Stars Pack consists of two sneakers: the Nike Air Foamposite One and the Nike Lil Penny Posite. Bringing a Nike throwback to the forefront with a new sidekick, the Lil Penny Posite takes inspiration from the Lil Penny campaigns of the ’90s for a brand new silhouette, as well as from the man himself, Anfernee Hardaway in the city he spent much of his starry career, Orlando, Florida. Both shoes come packaged in one specially designed box, featuring a tonal gloss all-over print graphic and a bold question splattered across the inner-flap, reading: YOU GUYS REMIND ME OF MY SHOE CLOSET. I GOT TWO PENNYS AND A BUNCH OF LOAFERS.
Featuring a full-length Lunar midsole and Zoom cushioning in the heel, the Lil Penny Posite also employs the latest cushioning technologies, from the bottom up. The design builds upon blocks of Penny’s past, notably including elements of the Air Zoom Rookie and the Nike Air Up, as a symbolic follow up to the Nike Air ½ Cent.

The Nike Zoom Soldier 7 is inspired by and designed for the hoops king, the Nike Zoom Soldier VII provides superstar comfort and long-lasting durability while allowing versatile, play-making movements. Arriving in a turbo green, atomic mango and nightshade colorway, its the fusion of color that makes this shoe aesthetically stand out from the rest. However, the design of the shoe allows for function as well, as its Hyperfuse construction makes the sneaker lightweight and breathable, while the midfoot strap and inner sleeve secures your feet.
Available online only Thursday.

Nike Air Foamposite One
Nike Lil Penny Posite
Aesthetically, the design builds upon blocks of Penny’s past, notably including elements of the Air Zoom Rookie and the Nike Air Up, as a symbolic follow up to the Nike Air ½ Cent. A decoupled Posite upper, with reflective detailing, retains iconic styling while affording you more flexibility, a change of pace from Posites of the past. Featuring a full-length Lunar midsole and Zoom cushioning in the heel, the Lil Penny Posite also employs the latest cushioning technologies, from the bottom up. Molded wings on the shoe’s quarter add a modern sensibility while vintage Flight and 1 Cent insignia keep the design true to its lineage. The season may be winding down, but as the saying goes, basketball never stops. Catch Lil Penny at a court near you this summer — and this time, he won’t be rocking big brother’s hand-me-downs.
The Air Jordan 1 ’86 receives the “Dark Concord” treatment we’ve been frequently seeing as of late. The sneaker arrives in the Air Jordan 1 silhouette: the most casual of the line. The design components of the shoe include a black leather base with textured overlays, as well as dark concord purple present on the Swoosh, Wings logos, and Nike-branded heel tab. The new AJ 1 integrates the Wings logo and molded heel counter from the Jordan II, in addition to the iconic feature hue from the Jordan XI.
Available in stores and online Saturday.
Featuring a solid black base with burgundy accents completed with the Mutombo logos on the tongues and heels, the adidas Mutombo 2 is one of those must-have retros. Differentiating itself from the first model, this second signature model displays the synonymous Mutombo shield on the heel with the former NBA center’s last name gracing the tongue. This OG colorway of the Mutombo 2 made its debut back in 1995, and refreshed for 2014, the mixture of black and fiery burgundy sets out to be just as popular as its predecessor.
